Were/are there any game developers that don't really like Nintendo?
Thanks to Nintendo's contracting system during the NES era, I'm fairly certain some game developers didn't think too highly of Nintendo, despite developing games for their systems. Were there any such developers that openly admitted to such a thing, and only developed for a paycheck?
Sorta close, but this is more oriented regarding censorship. LucasGames didn't like their censorship policies when it came to the NES port of Maniac Mansion, to set an example.
I am honestly curious about this subject. Thanks.

It is a hardly deniable truth that many of the developers from their 8 and 16bit era days at some level can't stand them because of their old monopolistic stranglehold tactics with contracts. Others, more recently, being the immature eye candy kiddies of this era can't stand them for the Wii since it didn't go HD and it used 'waggle' as the mature media/gaming types like to dog them for. It's all spite talk so it's not too hard to follow back along the lines of personal employee or company wide distaste for Nintendo.

Yep I'm laughing at that one too!

Krunch: The helicopter one seemed to be a PC game, while the hidden code was more or less the programmers own will, and no real resentment towards Nintendo. However, one programmer in Pachi-Com was complaining about Nintendo dropping decimal support from the 6502, which apparently angered him greatly.
Did you read the last link about the hidden code in The New Tetris though? I'd say the programmer's resentment was partially directed at Nintendo.

EA put out stuff like MULE, The Immortal, Skate or Die 2 on NES and then in 91 did Populous and John Madden Football to start with SNES.
I'd also mention Camerica but they never pretended to play by their rules to begin with.
By that, I mean developers who felt like they were being shafted by Nintendo one way or another. Tengen only developed games for the NES because it was profitable, and decided to copy the 10NES so that they avoided licensing fees.
