So I recently got an NES and one of the games I got with it is Super Mario Bros 3. SO I pop it and start playing. I happen to land on a hammer guy spot, kill him, and go to get my reward. Now this is the weird part. WHen I went to go to the chest, I got a Times Up Death. So I reset, and then I get another one in the 2 level when I had 299 timer left. Does anyone know what could be causing this or hell if this has even happened to anyone before?

Never had that happen, clean the game connector/NES 72 pins connector is my only advice.

Are you using a real NES or a clone? Is the SMB3 a real cart or pirate? Are you using a game genie or anything like that?
