Less commonly known JP-US differences in games for Nintendo systems

Tonight I decided to play a little bit of Japanese NBA Give 'N Go for the SNES. Don't ask me why. First of all, it was hilarious hearing the Japanese announcer shouting in Japanese and then going "DREXLER!" I also laughed my butt off when he says at the end of a game, "ADIOS AMIGO!" I was like, "Alright, adios to you too, player!"

But the most bizarre thing that isn't in the US version that IS in the JP version is this:

During half-time, the spotlight aims to find one lucky fan... and when highlighted, that fan will inexplicably shoot 50 basketballs from the stands. Then it cuts to the hoop where the balls either all go in or miss. So far I've seen an overly dramatic/flashy guy knock in all his shots, and a shy girl miss hers. I was like WTH was that... LOL. It was so bizarre! I can see why the US version cut it out... it's just plain silly and wacky. Oh you gotta love the Japanese folks...

In the US version half-time quickly pans the seats, but doesn't stop to find a "lucky fan"

So, any Japanese games you've played where you have seen a difference as compared to the US version? The more uncommonly known the difference is, the better!
