I bought a tabletop Frogger game today. I can't get it to power on. Am I missing anything in the battery area? Does anybody have any knowledge of how to fix these?
Looks like you are missing the metal piece that connects the 2 pair of 2 batteries in series. Jumper a wire between the 2 sets of batteries and see if it powers up. It also probably had springs on it to keep the batteries in place.
I edited your picture. The yellow shows that it probably had a metal bar running across with 2 springs holding the batteries in place and acting as conductors to connect the batteries in series for a total of 6V.
See the red line behind them? Hook up a wire like that and try to power it up.
Affirmative. I fixed a Pac-Man that had a corroded plate and a broken spring for a guy. I got a spring from a Radio Shack battery holder and soldered it to the plate. But you need a plate and a spring just like the one at the other end. You'd then solder or otherwise attach the loose wires from the board to the plate.
