Would a 3.8mm Security Tool Work on an American Video Entertainment Cart?

Yesterday, I recieved a copy of Impossible Mission II for NES, but the board is so loose that it pushes back up into the cart whenever I try and put it in my NES. I know I can fix it if I open it up, but do you guys know if a standard 3.8mm Security Tool would work on it? The screws look different than the ones on my licensed NES games. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • All ten of my AVE carts, including IM2, are Phillips screw heads...

might need a screw varient collector to verify if any came with security screws...I do know my Sunday Funday(not AVE) has security bits and can be opened, just not sure if 3.8 or 4.5.
  • Wow, do I feel like a dunce. The cart was just held together by Phillips screw heads. I took it apart and the the little plastic pieces that held the board together were completely broken off. Then it was just a matter of using electrical tape and a weight or two to hold everything back in place. Cart works great now, not that I really foresee myself playing Impossible Mission II all the time. These games are rare for a reason I guess.
