Playing Mario Kart Double Dash on WII system

It's the first time I try to play a GameCube game on my WII system. Is that it need a special controller because the original one does'nt work with the game?

Is it a Nintendo Brand controller? because third party controllers don't play well with the Wii.

I want to play that game on my WII. I only have Wii original controller. Is that I need another type of controller to play Mario Kart Double Dash on my Wii system ?

you need a gamecube controller to play gamecube games.

^^this.  if you've got the stand up wii the top flips open for you to put the gamecube controllers/memory cards in.
