Aladdin Deck Enhancer + All Games

All are factory sealed and in mint condition. What have been the historical prices on these? I appreciate any response, thanks!

  • Historically, they really haven't changed much, if any. About $70 for all of them.
  • Yep I was just going to say about $80 shipped will guarantee you one most of the time.
  • Awesome, I paid about that for a BIN with a quantity of 7 or 8 on eBay. I was really surprised at the quality and condition of the boxes once they arrived. Hopefully NES software will keep gaining price like it has in the past few years, so I can make a few hundred dollars in the next decade or so. Thanks again for the responses!

P.S. Do you guys just reload the NA Forum all day? Y'all respond to like every single question posted within half an hour.

P.P.S. Is there a game included with the Deck Enhancer? I keep all my NES stuff in a friends house as opposed to the barracks here, there's just not enough room to store it where I live so I can't really check right now. Thanks!

That's not going to happen with the Aladdin stuff.

  • I'll find the guy selling multiple copies, then burn all of his stock. Maybe then the price will go up!

While some people do, I personally subscribe to every topic area, which means I get an email for every post. Since I use gmail, it nicely organizes forum posts into threads of 61 messages each. Makes it easy to browse all new posts without having to refresh constantly.

  • <3 Gmail. Instead of 1000 "You were outbid on item X" emails, I just get one with a number next to it =)
  • I usually come check NA when commercials come on TV. Easy way to kill 4-5 mins.

  • Wasn't it like 250'ish new sealed stock of these found? It'll never be worth anything again. I doubt there are that many NES collectors around wanting it.

They would be a cool conversation starter for us living outside the U.S. thou.
  • Famous last words Widar image I'm sure they were saying something like that about a little game called Cheetahmen II when it was uncovered and liquidated ten years ago.

That said, there were far more Aladdins unearthed image From what I've been told, multiple truckloads of the things, and most other sealed Camerica games too.

It already bounced back up a bit as I bought mine from the ebayer selling the sets last year for around $35 shipped.
  • Dangevin: Yeah, it was probably to harsh to say "it'll never", i should've put "probably" in there instead. image

But as you said, there wasn't 250+(?) cheetamen II found, where there? image

Limbo: That's probably himself keeping only a few of them on ebay all the time + the dollar being low so us europeans only pay the same for 50 USD nowadays as we did a year ago for 35 USD. When the demand gets low since everyone already got one it'll probably sink more again.
  • ^ Try 1500 Cheetahmen, of which 1200 went straight into collectors hands.
  • But there's two versions of the Aladdin, guess one of 'em is harder to obtain?

  • The "made in UK" one is easier to obtain, but the only real difference is the lack of a switch on the ADE.
  • There was a guy that had multiple pallets of these recently.

That was when I bought my sealed for $18 + shipping. The deal did not include "micro machines" though.

After opening and playing all of them...realizing many of the games were awful,

and deciding I didn't want to fry my NES with the lockout chip "shock" method used by the

pirate carts, I turned around and sold them OPENED, but complete, on EBay for $60 a week or two, ago.

Wow, that's really impressive you were able to pull that price out of them.

I opened mine too but find the games fairly fun image
  • Well, a couple of the games are fun, but I have the Quattro Adventure pak (most of the fun games from the Alladin).

Also, the way it shocks the lockout chip...bad things.

  • I thought this was only a problem for toploaders since they lack the lockout chip. Original NES will work with it as intended.

And even then, I thought it was only if you leave your toploader on with a disabling game for a long time, that it will just crap out and you simply have to turn off/turn on the system...
  • Might be. My understanding was that it was zapping the lockout prior to it being called by the NES.

Seems to reason that hitting it with voltage in ways it was not intended could eventually puff the chip.
  • Yep that's what I think happens too. However it can't be any worse than clipping the leg of the chip off image Unless smoke starts pouring out of the toaster....hehe
  • True, but I haven't modded mine and don't care to see the flashing grey screen any more than necessary.
