  • err... no offense but how an ebay or roughly ebay price unfair? image I can't give 'em away too cheap... they are too easy to get full value for. People ask about that game ALL the time.. its probably the #1 request people come to me with.
  • True enough, but I've seen it top $500...and there's no way I want to pay more than maybe $150 for it, since I am going to be opening it image
  • Speaking of best NES finds, this isn't necessarily my best find, but I stumbled upon a CIB copy of the 3-in-1 PAL exclusive: SMB / Tetris / World Cup, and it's not the Spanish version:

  • Oh wow, I haven't seen that one yet. What are the codes on the cart/box/manual?

I've also seen it top 500... which pretty much means I'm not selling it for 150 image Hang in there, you'll find a cheap one sooner or later if you're patient and have a quick BIN finger.

Yeah, it's the first one I've seen, too. It must've been a late release, because the code on the box is FRG-2, manual FRG-1, and cartridge FRG. I bought it from an Italian guy and on the back of the box, there's a sticker with info from an Italian distributor. The black box below Tetris on the front of the box is also a sticker.
  • Can you scan that for the site? I don't remember if you said you have a scanner or not.

    -Dain
  • I have a scanner, but it's not hooked up to the computer right now. I'll add it to the list of things to scan once I hook it up, though. I'll take care of it by the end of the weekend at the latest image

I had a good find earlier this week. I found a complete Tagin' Dragon in a video rental for $5. The box is in bad condition and the cart and manual have a security sticker on them, but I can't complain.
  • Where are you going to sell the box Hounder?

  • Ebaying one in March. I have some more surprises for everyone after the auction as well image

Also, nice snag on that Tagin Dragon. I don't think people realize that the box for that is pretty hard to locate. Great find at $5.

You got a damn gold NWC didn't you, you bastard!! I know you talked about having a source, so it must have panned out. Must stab David image Tell us......

  • My best NES find was about 750 NES manuals for $200. It was from a local guy who obtained a few thousand of these when Funco Land merged with GameStop and was throwing them away. He also threw in about 150 SNES manuals and about 40 NES boxes into the mix. I still have most of the duplicate manuals which have been great trade bait.

My 2nd best find was from eBay. I found a poorly listed auction, of about 10 boxed games and 10 loose games, with Bubble Bobble Part 2 included. The picture was horrible, and you could only see the very end of a red box, which I *thought* looked like it could be a BB2 box. I offered her $80 to end it early and she accepted. I figured even if I got a loose BB2 I got a good deal. When I got it BB2 was indeed Complete. It also included complete copies of Wario's Woods, Bubble Bobble, Metroid, and several other sweet items like a Maxi-15 with case, a pirate SMB3 cartridge, and about 6 other random CIBs. Here is the auction that I got her to end early. Would you have known that the red box is a BB2 box?
  • Nice find! I would have taken a big guess that it was since she mentioned BB2 in the auction. That's an excellent deal. Can't beat that kind of a price for that game complete!

not the best condition perhaps, but still a good buy considering all the other stuff he got. I wonder what a box in that condition would go for on ebay. Dustin, are you going to keep it or ebay it?

It's cool that this game is getting so much attention lately. Always was one of my favorites from a collecting standpoint even before the current attention on it.
  • i was thinking about keeping it because i might never find a better one. but for the right money i would definately sell it. might even ebay it just to see what it would go for. havent decided yet.
  • Some of my best deals I have ever had are below. I have sold most of this stuff off already so I can't sell them to you

I have gotten most of the good stuff from him alreay including below (he has a flintstone 2 box in mint shape he won't sell me at any price because he says then if he got the game he wouldn't be able to sell it. no chubby cherub box though I already checked).
