Watermark software

I need to watermark some pictures, and I'm not sure which software to use. What are you folks using? Which is easiest? Most reliable? From what I've read some programs are pretty much crap, and the watermarks can be removed. Help a brother out.

  • if you're looking to make a water mark for any artwork, know that ANY water mark can be removed if a person with enough patience and skill works on it long enough. but if you're looking to do it for free and legal go with GIMP. it's freeware and quite a few pro's use it. basically for a water mark you create a second image or signature, put it on the top layer over all the other layers, then make it partially transparent. then you save the image as a non-layered image. (BMP, JPEG, etc.) my avatar is my logo and lately I've been using it as my own watermark for my artwork. good luck.
