Hi all
Hey guys just thought I would finally join the site and introduce myself. My name is Rob and I am a big nes fan. Currently my collection sits around 230 or so games. I would eventually like to collect them all but I know that is probably unrealistic.
I look forward to joining in all the awesome nintendo conversations.
Also you can join me on my youtube site as I document my gaming collection.

I have about 230 NES games as well. In fact, I have 229 NES games released in its lifetime and the other ten include: a prototype, repros/homebrews, and famicom games.
I also want to get a complete NES collection one day. It's definitely not unrealistic. I've been collecting for two and a half years as an unemployed high school/college student. I fund my collection through doing random tasks/chores for money (rich and lazy college students are awesome) and the like. You just have to learn to stretch your money and find deals. It's a fun hobby, as I'm sure you know already. All that being said is if that I can build an 'okay' collection with about 500 games and two arcade machines, any employed person can do it and do it even much better. That's why I'll probably give in and get a job during school other than the summer job to pay for the remaining amount in my college (what scholarship didn't cover).
Boy, I'm rambling. Shutting up now!

i see you are from illinois too. I dont know if its just my area but it seems like it is almost impossible to find good deals around here.
Yeah, I'm only here during the summer. (I'm not a big fan of the state, to be honest). There's one store where I've found a handful of good deals, but... "It's a secret to everybody". But for the most part, no, there's not a lot of good deals here, it seems.
Have you ever been to PeoplePlayGames in Chicago? It's a really cool place to go to if you're in the area. The prices are fair market value and it's just cool walking in there. It's the best retro gaming store I've ever been to.
