one of my snes' keeps auto resetting.
So i recently got a sixth super nintendo. I decided I'm gonna keep this one as my main snes, its white, clean, all games load without cleaning or blowing in them.. Awesome.
The other night i fired up some Chrono trigger. Played like 20 minutes, the game reset itself. The hell? Okay must be my Chrono trigger.
Then last night the same thing happened twice with mega man x. Different time frames, 15 minutes, 45 minutes.
Tonight it happened twice with Super Metroid.
Fifteen minutes, twenty some minutes.
Obviously its not on a reset timer due to the random timing (and its not a kiosk snes) so what the hell? I mean. I can easily swap it out for one out of my storage tub (i really gotta start selling em off lol), but I'm puzzled as to why this is occurring, and what a possible fix might be?
Any ideas? Cause this is odd.

As for swapping, if you mean case swapping, there's 2 or 3 different versions of the SNES internals that will require cutting the case on the inside to get it to fit properly.
Does it flash on/off when it resets, or just goes back to the title and you can keep playing with out having to touch the console?
Takes me right back to title, no flashing
