Max Payne 3

   Hello NintendoAGERS,

      Today, Max Payne 3 will be released for X-box 360 and PS3. Is there anyone who is excited about this and will be purchasing the game? I absolutely loved Max Payne and Max Payne 2 for the PS2. Bullet Time, the graphic comic book scenes, and memorable characters like Mona Sax, etc... I read the reviews on metacritic.com and they seem real favorbale. 87 for X-box 360 and 90 for PS3. I heard the story is real tight knit and the multiplayer is real cool and lots of fun. I can't wait until work is over today so I can pick up this game to continue the messed up life of Max Payne. Yeah, I loved the last two, really want to pick this up. Still gonna wait for a price drop, I never buy any games new, it seems anymore, the price is cut in half in a little over a month or if you really wait it out, a game of the year edition comes out for it. Glad it finally came out, this thing has been in limbo for years it seems.

I will get it in 3 to y months when it costs $10. I have a 40 to 50 game backlog (on ps3), so i dont need to drop $60 on a game that will sit around.

Yeah, that's kinda my deal as well. I have alot of newer stuff that I pick up cheap and I end up with something like 25 PS3 games sitting there.

I've been looking forward to it but will likely wait for a price drop as well. They just happen so insanely fast now. I was going to pick up Prototype 2 when it came out 3 weeks ago and it's already 20 dollars cheaper. So it just makes sense to wait.

I'm picking up the CE of Max Payne 3 along with Diablo 3 after work, but probably won't have time for it for a while. I paid for it using birthday gift cards so I'm not too concerned over the money. I need to complete a couple games before I start new ones.

Just got mine. I loved the first 2. Couple of my favorite PS2 games. I know the story will be great. Not sure what to expect from the multiplayer though.



How is the collectors edition Addicted? Come with anything cool?

I might in time. 2 I can't even remember anymore but I've done the first and weird gba remake of it enough times to love the setup. As is I'm behind on new releases because of a backlog so it has a lot in front of it. Perhaps once I finish off a stack of 7 Wii titles a bit, then get FF13-2, a couples of Tales of...releases(3ds/ps3), and perhaps work over a few 3DS titles I'm sitting on then I'll get to it. Hopefully it will be closer to $10 than $60 by then.



I find buying new games these days especially from particular companies is a really BAD idea because they'll sell part of a game, charge you a bit to grossly more for it all as corrupt DLC to then a year later do a 'complete' version. I'm waiting for that to get Mass Effect 3 since EA scams the heaviest with it (like Tiger Woods Masters for $60 with the over $200 in DLC the game heckles you to buy or you lose out on tournaments and stuff.)

I will probably wait until it's discounted via a Steam sale (or used at GameStop so I can buy it on the 360, beat it, then return it a couple of days later). The first two games in the series are great, but I'm a little wary that this one wasn't made by the original guys.

Loved the first 2, a little worried about this one from what I've seen.

Great year for me though.. Max Payne and new Bioshock!

I didn't even know there was a Special Edition but holy lord that thing is gigantic. There is no way I have space for that, I already have the Uncharted 3 SE taking up half a shelf and that is about the same size.



I did end up picking the game up though. I'm on Chapter 3 and so far it's ridiculously fun. Great writing, good set pieces and the shooting is outstanding. Will play more tonight and see if it keeps up.

Hey all, i got my special edition from amazon and it came unsealed in any way, no plastic thats normal but no stickers as i can see in the unboxing videos on the tube, its all there but still WTF now i cant get it graded in the future...

Just got my CE, loving the Max statue!

My box is slightly different to yours though, no 360 logo across the top of the box. Mine is all black.

I loved Max Payne 1 and 2, so I hope I get a chance to play through this some day, although I don't currently own any of the latest generation consoles. Looks like it's coming to PC too, hopefully my PC can run it.
