Control Deck price check

So I've got some ads on our local craigslist offering to buy people's nintendo stuff.  It's worked out pretty well for me so far as there aren't really that many collectors actively looking for NES stuff around here.  Anyways, I just got an email from someone in the area (not a collector) asking what I'd pay for a NES Control Deck.  It's CIB.  The box is incredible condition as are both the bottom and top pieces of styrofoam.  It includes the manual, the Warranty Registration guide, and the tan "look for this seal" piece of paper... all in great condition.  He also has a handful of common games that I might offer a buck a piece for.  But what should I offer him for the Control Deck.  I could care less about the actual NES system but the box is just too pretty to pass up.  I'll add a couple pics in a minute.

  • If you don't care about the system, and it comes with the accessories that are on the outskirts of the picture I would offer him $50-60. You can then keep the box, and sell the system and the extra stuff and pretty much even out. Anything more that you offer would be what you are willing to spend on just the box.
  • Yeah, I'd shoot for $60 and see if he'd take it.
  • i'm with them $50-60. $75 only if you want it bad.
  • I don't think I've seen an original NES box in...I don't even know how long.
  • I love "Precision Engineered Controllers for Instant Reflex Action!"
  • Damn Damn Damn... I may have talked myself out of it. Mainly because of bills... which sucks. Damn you real life. But I got him to accept $60 for everything. NES CIB (as pictured above), 6 loose carts (SMB3, SMB/DH, TMNT, DK Classics, Baseball Stars, RBI Baseball) in addition to the SMB that came w/ the NES, Max Controller, Advantage Controller, & Zapper Gun. I really only wanted it for the box, SMB, RBI, & Baseball Stars. I was planning on selling off everything else. I suppose more opportunities will come. I'll probably run into the same offer but for $15 in a week. Maybe.
