The complete sets I'm looking to trade/sell

Alright well everybody has probably seen my post in the Buy and Sell about the possibility of me selling/trading some of my stuff. I've gotten a ton of pms with people interested in mostly buying, but a few potential trades have been offered as well.

It's just hard to even trade something when you're not sure what everything goes for. If I'm trading something, I'd like to know that both parties are getting an equal value worth of stuff, so I want to see what people think these are worth:

100% CIB Dreamcast collection. I think there is 258 games or something, including all variants. Including that sealed Sonic 25th Anniversary thing or whatever... The guy that sold it to me said that it was only sealed in North America, but not sealed in Japan, but they're identical in every other way. I've never checked to see if his story checks out, but thats what he told me. All the games are freaking mint as hell. Some games have 3 or 4 variants. Like for some of the sports games there would be NBA 2K1 regular, NBA 2K1 Sega All Stars, NBA 2K1 HOT NEW!, NBA 2K1 not for resale... etc.. No imports, all US releases. (no console, though)

CIB Sega 32X Collection - Okay you caught me, it's not actually complete. All this time I've been lying. I'm missing a CIB Mortal Kombat II. Silly enough, its freaking comman as hell and I could complete the damn thing if I just wanted to pay $10 on eBay but I haven't... Assume its complete, though, as this game is common as hell anyways. Everything else is CIB, all North American games. Spiderman, Pitfall, etc... (CIB Console as well)

Near complete Master System collection - I'm not sure how many more manuals I need but I think its something like 15-20. I have a list, but its on my laptop. They're the US games only. However, some of those stupid NA releases are Euro versions. Like Sonic, Strider, and Spiderman... those ones where the only difference between the US and the International release is the bar code. There may be a few others (2 or 3 more) that are Euro. I'd have to check. (no console - I have a loose one, but my girlfriend gave it to me and I think she would kill me if I sold it)

Intellivision - No interest in this yet and I don't blame you guys. I have all the carts, missing about 40 boxes, most of the bigger name boxes I'm missing like Spiker, Congo Bongo, Learning Funs, Fathom, etc...

Whatdya think?

  • Well I got my full Dreamcast set all in one shot for about $2050 shipped. That was last December. So I'd say that your Dreamcast set is worth about that much give or take a bit depending on the day.

No idea about the other stuff.
  • I tried to sell my intellivision collection a few months ago had 100 games cib and 3 systems cib didnt sell at 500.00. I fight be interested in a few of the games
  • Complete US SMS collection cause thats not worth a lot at all. If you talking like Canada and US and European games then your talking $$

Every Complete Dreamcast Collection I have seen sold went for about $1,900-$2,100 so I would say about $2,000 is a good amount.

The 32x is worth <fart noise> lol im jk but I don't think its worth that much then again I don't know anything about the 32x

  • Yeah, the problem with SMS is that 95% of the library is like $2 a game when bought in bulk like this. I don't want to give a lowball offer, but really, 114 titles in the US set, but with no US Sonic or Buster Douglas (or do you have that one?) we're not looking at much...
  • Dreamcast collection, missing bleem GT2 (which would have a virtual zero effect on what it would actually bring at eBay), $1900-$2200 should be fair. 32X collection + CIB system, minus Mortal Kombat II (which would also have zero effect), you'd be looking at $500-$600 or so. SMS collection, missing 48 manuals and US version Sonic, about $500-$700. INTV collection, missing 40 boxes (we'll assume the top 40, like Spiker, Stadium Mud Buggies, etc.), at most $500.
  • I think you're underestimating the or prices of a loose Spiker, Congo Bongo, and other games like that. Spiker's (though the box adds like an additional $500) NEVER come up for sale. Like never never. It has the manual, which isn't that big a deal. Those other games that are up there also bring some good cash (relative to INTV, that is).

I agree with you on DC and 32X. I was telling people ~$2000 for DC, and $500 for 32X.

SMS I think you're a little low on too, but I'm glad to see some opinions. I was originally telling people $1,000, but when I looked at it all and realized that I was a) missing more manuals than I thought, and b) more than I thought were Euro versions, I lowered my thoughts a bit.

Aside from Buster Douglas (which I do have CIB), there are quite a few that can bring in some (again, relative to SMS) good prices. Stuff like: the Alex the Kids, Alf, Castle of Illusion, Dick Tracy, Golden Axe Warrior, Kenseiden, Power Strike, Y's. Even the Wonderboys.

I don't know if you could say that the average game other than those are $2 a game. Obviously some are, but if they were all THAT cheap we would all have complete collections already.
The guy that I was working on a deal with, we were saying that the average game is worth around $2-$7.. which I agree with.

Thanks for the input though, I DO appreciate it image

I do agree with you on that, I'm just saying that if it's $5 / game normally for most SMS games CIB, then if they're sold all at once in a lot, it's gotta be less... hence my $2 assertion.  Either way, somewhere in the neighbourhood of $500 to $750 is probably fair if you've got buster douglas CIB in there.  Just my thoughts image
  • Well I picked up a Buster Douglas Box/Cart in mint shape for $55 shipped last week. Also I just picked up a Buster Douglas CIB tonight for $111.11 on eBay, although that one was listed horribly without Sega in the title. Can't believe 2 of these came up within a month let alone 2 weeks. It's like it's raining FFF AW's all over again.
  • I dunno, Erik...I came face-to-face with 2 of them (there are somewhat decent odds they were the same, actually) in about a 6- or 8-month span locally... It's definitely possible.

Nice buy. That's about what they go for. I got mine for like $100 shipped (Canadian) but that was a few years ago. I saw that CB BIN you hit too, I'm sure can recouperate some of the costs by selling that one.
