Selling a Virtual Boy - Need some advice

First off, mods, if you feel this is better suited to another forum please let me know and feel free to move it. I wasn't quite sure where to put this...

After long thought I decided that I need to part with the Virtual Boy. I've got to raise some cash and I'm going to start with things I'm not attached to. I know there are lots of seller's here that know different in's and out's. IF I sell the Virtual Boy I'd like it all to go and me not be stuck with 2-3 games that I really would have no way to play. What would be the best way of selling this? Parting it out? All in a bundle? On NA? On GameGavel? On Ebay? I'd appreciate some help. I'm not expecting somebody to put in hours of research, I'm just looking for some opinions. I've been so busy lately with work and the house that I'm not sure where to even start.

For reference, my Virtual Boy collection is all loose, and I have the system with manuals and other inserts, as well as the following games...

Galactic Pinball

Golf

Mario Clash

Mario's Tennis

Panic Bomber

Red Alarm - With Manual

Teleroboxer - With Manual

Vertical Force

Wario Land - With Manual

Virtual League Baseball

Waterworld

This is NOT a for sale thread, so please don't post offers. If you are seriously interested then send a message - but at this point I'm just thinking it out and trying to decide what would be best for me.

  • I guess it would depend on how much cash you're trying to raise, and how quickly you need to raise it.
  • Trying to raise back as much as I can from it... and I'd like to do it within a month. I'd rather not sit around just because I'd be tempted to keep it again.
  • I'd take it to the price check board and see what quotes you get. The more pictures and details you provide, the better.

You could auction it here, I'd say go to ebay if it's a time thing but you're going to lose 8+% off the bat and then the associated risks.

If you're unsure about selling it, try to hold off on it. It's not like they're going to make more of them.
  • Well I can tell you right off the bat I will buy vertical force, galactic pinball, and water world from you right now for a fair price if you want I pm me. Just knowing that I would say part out what you can then sell the rest as a bundle when they don't sell. Offer on na first.
  • Well, I decided to just throw it up FO here for now... I'm not attached to it at all, I had big plans initially but after buying a house a few months ago some of the priorities have changed. I'm probably going to downsize to half of my collection... I won't get rid of anything that has any value to me - and on a good note a lot of the stuff that I considerable valuable doesn't seem to be the high priced carts. Most of my 'good' items are the Atari 2600 games my Dad bought and wrote his name on - and things my family owned when I was younger.
  • Well good luck with your sales! Definitely, if you have the time to do it, part it out as much as possible. People will try to lump things back together for a slightly lower price all on their own anyway.
