As cool as I think it would be to have SE included on Wiz's list, I really don't think it counts. Never before has a game been accepted that even had the smallest doubt that it was sealed, and I think it taints the rest of the data to start bending the rules now for the sake of having some rare games on there.
I don't think the above mentioned Big Box Gyro would count either. There's just no way to be positive that they were indeed never opened.

Regardless, I think an exception could be made in this case seeing as I dont think there will ever be anyone willing to open a 100% confirmed sealed SE
^^^ Personally, I have no stake in it. I DO know that when Wiz created this list, he had a very specific set of criteria for games to be included, and this doesn't fit it.
Honestly, I don't even know who maintains this list these days, so they may decide that SE is worth bending the rules for. I just wanted to point out the history of the list, so that it would at least be taken into account when making the decision.
FWIW, the items listed in the SE above are exactly what I guessed they would be in some old thread on here from a few years back, but if the game wasn't technically "sealed," I wouldn't put it on the list. Anybody want to fill in an oldtimer on exactly what the story is behind this SE? Judging from Aaron's replies, I'm assuming this thing wasn't actually sealed....... ???
From the sound of it, they guy that originally had it received it from his grandparents with some other sealed NES games a while back. My guess is that it was somehow opened at the store, and then resealed with tape.
I know I'm not the decision maker here, but this would be tough not to put under the sealed section. Even if it has to have a Barry Bonds asterisk next to it, that puppy was either minty fresh or still sealed. Oh yeah, and it was Stadium Events.
Like I said before, I'm not trying to stir the pot, but I at least think that someone should try to contact Wiz and get his opinion on this. He started this list from nothing and put a lot of hard work into it. He should at least be able to have his say.
I think the odds of these being the exact contents are pretty good. I plan on using these as the contents for the collection tool, whether or not they make it to the Wiz's list.
When is the next time a sealed SE will come along and the owner willing to open it just to add the contents to the list. I say this should be included on the list until someone is willing to open another, should one be found again. Not to mention how mad the person who opens another factory sealed SE will be only to find that the contents are identical. My 2¢.

i have no doubts that this game was sealed. i think its good enough to count. just my opinion.
i know there a few cib copies people have that came from the origional owner.. im wondering if they had all these same contense in any of them? can anyone check?
All of my old Bandai games (Chubby Cherub, Ninja Kid, etc.) have only that poster included with them and came with flat black sleeves, so I'm sure the contents are correct. That wasn't really my issue.

Seriously though, I don't really HAVE an issue.
Arse is right, I opened the Ninja Kid (SORRY BRONTY) and it was exactly this, flat black sleeve and that little poster insert. So I'm saying this was legit.
I really can't believe how fortunate we are to have this. It would be just a great loss if this didn't make the list. This would simply never be verified, period, if this find didn't unfold exactly as it has.
I love Wiz, and miss him, but his list has become greater than him. It's his legacy, and those who have upheld and added to it now have the say, in his absence. It's all warm and fuzzy to say that the creator has final say, but simply...he's left us. His input should be sought, but if he chooses to speak on the topic, I believe his opinoin should be taken into consideration only as another educated voice in the chorus.
If I stopped doing the e-Zine, I would absolutely not expect to have creative control over it after others took over, others who contribute freely and put hard work into it of their own accord.
It's literally thousands of dollars worth of information we're talking about throwing out, guys.
The list is never going to be complete, even if it has SE on it. There are other games that are just as rare to find sealed, and the few people lucky enough to own them aren't going to open them.
It's not as if the list needs the clout of having SE on it either. The few people who care what was contained in sealed NES games already know the list exists.
We all know that the contents listed in MRNs post are the likely contents of all sealed older Bandai games, so why taint the list?
Well, after hearing both sides out, I'm kinda leaning towards it NOT being added to the list. I mean, we still have the information readily available, however, I guess it's not worth risking the reliability of the list. I mean, my big box Gyro was just like new, so I put up what I found inside for reference, but seeing as there is that small doubt, I'd actually prefer it stays off.
^^^^ You just did something awesome without even realizing it.
That map is very desirable and didn't come packaged with all copies of this game. People have been trying to determine which variation of the box contained the map for some time, and you've just given some confirmation to the most widely accepted theory (non-hangtab, non rev-a).

But everything, the manual, baggie, poster, were perfect. The baggie didn't look like it had been unfolded.
whos going to follow that?
Is Win, Lose, or Draw still needed?

It won't offend me either way. Maybe just a "might be crap" proviso.

how much for the wrap that was around the SE? that's pretty rare iirc.

Again, just playing devil's advocate here.
