I've got no income, so anything I buy with my proceeds either helps my collection or makes me a return on my investment. Once I start working again I'll be making more.

oh i hear you man the only income i have is from selling game related stuff and i keep spending it on more lol
Indeed. And although I'm not actually doing a SNES list or any other console, if you post the contents in here I'm still keeping track, just in case someone undergoes the same sort of project at a later date, so go ahead and tear that open
I had a quick question about sealed contents, so I figured this would be the best place to ask. I received a few CIB games recently that had the carts in a plastic bag which was then placed into the game sleeve. Did the NES games come with a plastic sleeve around the cartridge when they were new, or is this something people do to keep the games clean?
So, in order to be considered CIB, it should have a plastic sleeve? What if the plastic sleeve isn't the ORIGINAL sleeve, but a bigger-oversized sleeve?
There are a few games that had no dust sleeve, but they're exceptions, not the rule. Every game had a plastic baggie. Whether you count either the sleeve or the baggie as required is entirely your decision.
I'm curious what you mean by an oversized sleeve though...could you post a picture?
Obviously it's not the original bag, and if I try to stuff it in the box, I can't get it closed without damaging the box. Does anyone have any recommendations on bags I can buy that are similar to the originals?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cart (NES-U2-USA) Manual (NES-U2-USA) Box (NES-U2-USA) Black dust sleeve Nintendo Power insert (PMG-USA) Front/Rear Projection TV Warning (NES-RPTV-USA) Ultra Subscription card Ultra folding advert (ULT-NES-US-1)
Got this at Goodwill for $2.99. If this was already posted, let me know.
Was this actually sealed? You say you found it at the good will and although I believe those contents are probably accurate, are they sealed contents?
Also, a list of opened games can be found on gamefaq, albeit not up to date.
Nowhere near up-to-date. I seriously need to get cracking on that.
That said, pretty sure that matches the copy that I had opened personally, or at least is very close to it. But yeah, was it actually new and sealed at Goodwill or was it opened at all?
EDIT: Okay, I listed it, as the RPTV warning was NOT on my prior list, although everything else meshed up perfectly. I only added it at this point because Kid Drac's Base Wars had an epilepsy warning that wasn't in the two listings that were already on the list, confirming that such warnings were added later. What I'd really like to know is if there is a * after the code on the manual, since it was previously determined that the * variants had the epilepsy doc printed inside the manual (thus negating the need for it), but there was no RPTV doc added in to the best of my knowledge. More for establishing a timeframe than anything.
Yes, there is a star on the manual's code. It was sealed, just no plastic hangtap. Surprised that POS Goodwill even had it. EDIT: Forgot to check the inside of the manual.

Oddly enough, I still pick up sealed games to open on occasion, despite being a loose collector. I just enjoy opening games.
