I haven't had much time to update you all until now, sorry for that. Yesterday went pretty well for the 1st day. I really have done no advertising except here, digital press and craigslist. It's a soft opening to get everything running smoothly. Today was outstanding! 28 sales, double of yesterday and 3 times the gross sales

Most expensive game sold: Lunar 2 Complete PS1 - $84.95

Best trade in: Turbografx 16 system with 11 games and 21 game boy games with a game boy color
Scariest moment: POS system all of a sudden does not want to recognize any of the accessories hooked up to it, scanner, 3 different printers, etc. A reboot fixed that up thank God!

I plan to update this thread every day or two. Hopefully you are all interested. Thanks everyone for your support.
Time for another update...things are going very well here. Made a bunch of sales today, and sadly had my first return. The virtual boy sold 2 days ago gave the guy migraines and I gladly accepted it back. I guess that's why it was such a short lived system. So, I now have the complete US virtual boy collection of 14 games, once again. So be it.
Most expensive system sold today: SNES(2)
Most expensive game sold today: SNES Mario Kart
NES items sold: 2 Base systems, 2 controllers, Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Rygar, Wrestlemania, Wrestlemania Challenge, Super Mario Bros 2, TMNT, Ninja Gaiden, Robin Hood CIB, Faxanadu CIB, 3 spare manuals, Nintendo Power issues 4 and 6.
Best trade in: One person traded in Super Mario RPG and Final Fantasy VII. Another traded in a bunch of N64 games including Mario Kart, Super Mario 64, Diddy Kong, Killer Instinct Gold and Goldeneye along with a bunch of NES games. Mike Tyson's, Mario 2 & 3 and Mega Man 2 are the more notables.
Yeah, he was really psyched to get himself a virtual boy that he always wanted as a kid. And I can see he is honest. He did look around after returning it and buy a few more NES games.
be prepared to go through a ton of Mario Karts, MTPO's and Mario 2+3's. There's reseller bread-and-butter Sounds like a few solid days of operation, keep it up. Don't forget, direct mailing is your friend. Ask Jason about the d.m. solutions the USPS offers for your local area, they'll canvass select areas with postcards so long as you supply them fresh from your print shop. You just pay postage and a small processing charge (well, relatively small compared to your going and randomly putting out flyers). Don't wait for things to dry up. Even if you get one good phone lead for every 200 flyers, you can bet it will cover the whole shot.
I really do...and I always wonder what would happen if someone brought in a box with Stadium Events NTSC or NWC, etc. I dont know if I would be able to contain myself. Super Mario RPG was a pretty sweet game to get as a trade in for sure...just have to be lucky I guess. Yesterday was another awesome day for sales, but no trade ins to speak of. Today was pretty bad because it was pouring and mother's day. Not many people around.
The best game purchase I ever made was 2 years ago when I bought a collection for $900. There were 16 large boxes full of great stuff like a turbo duo with tons of games, snes with CIB chrono trigger, mana, zelda, gaia, lufia, etc. Lots of other stuff too. But on the bottom of one of the boxes, after going through them all I found 2 cartridge boards that I had no idea what they were. Turned out they were 2 snes prototypes. One never released at all. That was the most expensive game I ever sold, for $800. Still have the other one in my showcase for $125.
So, I was more than happy with paying $900 for the 16 boxes without knowing that 2 gems not found until later would eventually pay for the whole collection. Just gotta be lucky...
