Information for all Systems and Games

I am trying to set up a way for people to submit information for all systems/games/accessories/etc for all Nintendo game systems.  Right now I have specific email addresses for each system so that people can submit the information we need to fill in the collection tool.

Any little thing you can submit will be a great help.  We still need master lists for most of these systems, so if you have a good working one that we can fiddle with to make correct, that would be great.

Also, if anyone wants to take charge of any specific system, please let me know.  The more help I get the faster we can get this off the ground.   Thanks guys

Please send the following information about each game, system, and accessory to the appropriate email.

Required Data:

Title (exact title, including language-specific characters)
Classification (ie, licensed, unlicensed, demo, kiosk, etc)
Game Code (ie, NES-XX-USA)
Region (USA, CAN, etc -use the region code from the game code; if no game code, write out the country name)
TV Format (NTSC, PAL, etc)
Publisher Name (who released it?)
Developer Name (who developed it?)
Release Date (at minimum, provide the year)
Did it come with packaging? (ie, NWC, test carts, would be "no")
Did it come with paperwork? (ie, NWC, test carts, would be "no")
Required Equipment (an alternate device that is required to play the game, if any)

Other EXTREMELY helpful data (optional, fill in as many as you can):

Rarity (1-10, or 0 for unknown)
Alternate title (same game but different name? ie contra/probotector)
Manufacturer
Distributor (ie, Mattel, Bergsala)
Licensor (ie, Disney)
Licensee (ie, Nintendo on 10-Yard Fight, by Irem)
UPC (on the box, if it had one)
ISBN (if it exists)
ESRB (if it exists)
Version (if it had one; ie, wisdom tree games, test carts)

Platform-specific data (this is N64, for example):

Uses Rumble Pak?
Requires Expansion Pak?
Requires Memory Card?
Box Support Type
etc... add more here

  • I've started working on a gamecube list, but can use all the help I can get.
  • If you would like to take the lead on Gamecube, let me know for sure and we can set something up with the emails, I think.
  • Will you post a "received" list so that we don't flood you with redundant information?
  • For some reason I thought you were going to do this for all systems, so we're just doing Nintendo ones?
  • Yes, just Nintendo systems. As for redundant information, that's not a big deal right now. Once we get a basic master list for all systems, they will be posted and people can send the information needed for each game and any updates or revisions needed.

I guess I should have made this more clear in the first post. Right now you can send information for games to the emails, but we do need to get a master list for each system. I know right now we have a starter for SNES, and nukie is working on one for Gamecube. I will make sure to hold onto any info given, but it won't be posted until we get lists.

Thanks for the interest so far though guys. Please if anyone else has a decent list for any other system, please pm it to me.
  • As burdger has said, I'm working on the gc master list (basically from scratch).  What I could use is codes from the discs (these have the -USA, the box doesn't) and variation info (i.e. 1080 came with a bonus disc and one without).  As I get an actual list, I'll post it to help with redundancy.
  • actually, all GC information that is emailed to the gamecube email will be forwarded directly to nukie, so please, if you have any information for him, send it to gc@nintendoage.com
  • Hey nukie-Are you working on kiosk discs for Gamecube too? If so do you want a listing of what demos and movies are on each disc? If you do-I have all of this info already recorded along with the codes for all but 6 of them. Let me know if you need it.
  • If you want to Retrogamer, go ahead and send that to the GameCube email. Even if nukie doesn't want to deal with that, we will need it for the site. Thanks a lot!
  • Will send through solid basis for a Game & Watch list later today. Small, but useful!
  • Here is a complete N64 list. We need someone to go through and verify the list and perhaps make a column for serial # and rarity. Ok, maybe not rarity but we do need a column for serial #.
  • im pretty sure N64 US & Japan are very close to done if not already (as far as games go anyways), also Im about 60% done with a super famicom list

virtual boy should be done also

  • I'll take care of the NES section image .
  • I'm pretty sure that Nick has the N64 list all but wrapped up. He's got a thread about it already. I also know that someone has given him a complete/near complete Japanese N64 list. When ever you finish with the super fami list, go ahead and send it to the right email, please.

And mb, go ahead and make a complete list for every NES game, without using either NGD or Etler's lists, fill in all of the above information, and send it on. It shouldn't take more than a few hours!
  • that japanese N64 list came from me

  • Heh...I've been compiling info and putting it into a spreadsheet for the better part of a couple months. The amount of detail I'm giving to this is to be on a level unseen with any previous existing list. It's still definitely a work in progress, though.

Thank you very much.  I didn't realize it was you.

I'm so glad to see this stuff is moving along so well.  Keep it coming guys.
  • I am also doing spreadsheets on super fami, fami, and fami disk, just like the N64 that I did
  • Ok, here's my start on the Game & Watch list, this will probably need a bit of input from some veterains, especially around classifying regions including Pocketsize:
