Pipemania associated title

When I browse Pipemania (HES game), page says it's associated with Metal Fighter.

But I do not understand why.

There might be a mysterious reason I'm not aware of but it seems more like a mixup.

Perhaps they share the same developer? And thus, a majority of the code is similar between the two?
