  • hmmmmmm looks very nice, almost tooo nice. Be fun to watch, i would have liked to have heard of how he obtained it, how long he had it etc.
  • wow another one allready. that baby is mint too should get around $1500.. well i still dont think were going to see a box or manual this year!
  • That is a beautiful cart, almost TOO beautiful.
  • very nice indeed, this one should be interesting to watch.
  • Damn, these have been popping up on a semi-regular basis....
  • The seller's feedback might scare some people away.
  • I placed some bids on it just for the hell of it. Wish I had the cash.
  • That label is mint, but it doesn't look pressed.
  • This game is too common to be a $1500 title
  • Is this the correct back-label for this game? I thought it had the one with the boldface "Nintendo" justified to the side instead of centered...

I'm sure some will disagree, but I agree with you on this one. It jumped from $500 to 1,500 way too fast, IMO.

  • i sold mine for like 600-700 4-5 years ago and i thought that was great to get for it... never ever ever did i figure it would get this high, as i agree with dain and nick here. i need 19 more carts to complete the set (this being one of them), but i dont intend on spending this much for it unless it is the last one i need, and with the myriad still on the list, i dont think i will be completing my set any time soon... unless bum wants to trade over that box and manual and then i would pay that new collector who bought the cart for $900 on ebay a few months back! image haha... regardless, this cart looks nice, but this is far too common to be this expensive.
  • It's the last one I need, and even then I'm not willing to pay that much. If that price doesn't drop, I'll never have a complete NES set image For $1,500, at this point I'd rather buy 150 DS games.
  • ^^ it was the big craze where like 6 people were willing to go over $1000 for it at one time...

you know, i was thinking the same thing. the snes has about 5 cart only games that are much harder to find then stadium events but command much less money. in the past 1 1/2 years there have been 10+ stadium events compared to 1 myriad talking nes wise only. snes has seen 1 mbr/sr, 1 iss, 1 super copa, and 2 others that never show up that i will not reveal the names of because i still need them.
  • Actually, there were 3 different MBR/SR carts at the same time from the same seller not so long ago (a year ago, maybe a little more, perhaps). They all ended between $220 and $320, if I remember right. As for why the SNES stuff hasn't seen the dramatic rise that the NES stuff has, give it either 3-5 more years or an influx of newbie collectors with cash (or God forbid, both), and you'll see some jumps.

That was in 06' not in 07' and i believe they hit $350 as well.

That was the auction that I won mine from, for around $200. Another buyer won the other two. About a year or so later I won another copy from a poorly listed MBR // MBR/SR set for $80 BIN image

  • in 2006 there were 3, last year there was only 1 (that BIN that OCD won), and this year there has been one (the poorly listed copy that Doug won). There have been 5 or so SE this year, another 5, maybe more, last year and I don't know how many total in 2006. Though there has only been 1 CIB and I believe 1 manual only as well. There have been no CIB mbr/sr if im correct..
  • Of course more SE will be listed people KNOW they are worth big bucks!!
  • Will be fun to watch. No box and manual means I'm not bidding image

i am 99% sure i am correct on this... on the topic of SE, in the past 36 months, there have been a total of 1 cib copy (erik) and 2 manual onlys (nick and i). gladly, i paid a lot less than nick did, and i almost bought that one as well before he took it. would have been cool to have 2 of that manual! i believe mine was 300, nicks was 875, and eriks 100% mint cib was a steal at 7k (thats a guess, since no one really knows what he paid)

good luck to all the bidders on this very common cart! haha!
  • So, in one of Batty's Polls a while back everyone laughed at us that said there would be more than 2 of these for the rest of the year. There has already been 2, and we has quite a bit of time left in the yearimage
  • i think battys poll was for cib SEs, but i could be mistaken. either way, i thought it said SEs so i voted over as well. i didnt notice any cib by it in his poll, but i am also blind and wearing a prescription from 3 years ago... i should probably do something about that!

EDIT: also, there have been at least 3 of these so far this year, maybe even 4. i cant remember exactly, but i do know this is at LEAST the 3rd one in the last 2 months. the previous 2 were on at the same time
  • You're right, it did say CIB. I obviously read it wrong and I couldn't believe that people were saying that there was no way that one was an over. DUH!
  • I have never understood why SE commands so much money. Myriad is hands down the rarest NES title, you might see one of them for sell every year and a half. It can only be because SE is licensed and Myriad isn't I guess...but the price difference is crazy. SE jumped way to high way to fast. It went from 500-1800 in less than a year.

    ~~NGD
  • This will be fun to watch, thanks for the heads up. Someone offered $800 I see from the questions. I'm sure they will get all kind of crazy questions.

I would have built up my "seller" feedback a bit before posting something like this.

    Yep, I said CIB SE.

so like 30 known copies makes it a very common cart now.. i dont agree with that but i do agree its value is alot less than it is selling for now...
  • nes king, do you know the definition of the word "sarcasm"? :-P and, there are far more than 30 of this cart known to exist. there are probably 20+ people on this site who have one, and there have been many other sold on ebay over the past few years to people who arent on this site. 30 is a verrrrrrrrrry low number to guess on this!

jason, i agree with you, the myriad is a harder cart to get by far. as for box and manual, SE box is rarer by a little IMO, and the manuals are about the same IMO, but with that said, i think the value of the myriad is lower because it really is a caltron AND it is not licensed. vito got a matching number cib myriad from mike for around $2500 (or less, i forget). try getting a cart/manual combo of SE for that price... u can forget about that box! that is some of the most expensive cardboard ever!
