Would be nice to see a few more pictures from different angles to get a better idea of the condition. But from what I can tell it looks very good. BTW this was listed a few days ago, pulled, and then relisted again today.
$1200 for this sealed is retarded, the game is not rare is the slightest, hell they blew these out at Toy's R US back in the day for I think it was $19.99. Granted they did the same thing with earthbound at wal-mart.
I can understand $300-$400 because of sealed collectors, but the fact that this break a grand makes me laugh.

True that it's not as rare as some other sealed RPG's but I would disagree with you that $1000 + is retarded. The demand for a gem mint sealed copy of this is very high and I don't think that this title will ever be worth less than 1K sealed provided that it is mint. It's also regarded as one of the best RPG's of all time and most people who buy this are not sealed collectors at all.

I'm just saying the majority of 1k plus gaming items take years to show up, Chronotrigger sealed will probably show up several times this year, and you'll probably see just as many minty unselad ones. To me, that says the price is inflated. Earthbound is the same way, there's not a lack of copies available, there's plenty at any given time on ebay. People just don't wanna wait, although the next 3 are just around the corner. Even Stadium Events to an extent is not acting like a $1500 game. there's been like 5 copies already this year, and 10 in the last calander year. $1500 for something that comes up 10 times a year? If you've watched game markets over time, you'd see this is overinflation.

I think there are two explanations for that. First, its not THAT rare loose. Copies are around. Second, its gone up a lot recently so there is a bit more turnover of them right now.
Sealed chronos on the other hand have always been around. I think 750-1k is a reasonable price but above that it seems overpriced to me too.

I don't think its that simple. The main thing is that there is just a shitload of demand, for whatever reason. Its not like waiting will get you the next one any cheaper.

The seller claims that sealed CT's in the past have went for as high as $3250?! I don't remeber that...
Yea, wasn't 1200$ the highest?

I am pretty sure auctions have seen 2K but I dont remeber any over 3K for sure.
I don't remember any over 1300 or so. I don't believe there was ever a 2k auction. That being said I am aware of a 2k private sale.
