Son, I'm sorry we couldn't afford to send you to college. When you were just a baby, your father spent all of our savings on some old atari games or something like that.
$4k? Did someone say $4k? I guess no one's feeling the recession, huh?
we aren't in a recession, recession = 2 consecutive quarters of decline in GDP and we haven't had one yet (sorry for off topic but it's a pet peeve of mine)

"Son, we are really proud of you that you got into Harvard. Father is going to sell his old video game collection to pay for your education. In the meantime, we will be taking a 6 month vacation around the world with the extra money. We are proud of you."

100% true, but with consumer confidence at historic lows, falling home prices, rampant foreclosures, rising gas prices, it is hard to say most people are feeling good about things right now. I guess good enough to plop $4k on some cardboard and plastic
Nope, Curtis is the only one, but in all seriousness, I mean it when I say I am going to make it really costly for the winner, and I don't even plan on winning....
I, too, am happy I don't collect sealed games (at least not to try for a full set...there are a couple if I ever saw that I'd keep (Dragon Warrior set, Final Fantasy, plus a couple others)). These lots are pretty much doomed to insanity. Whomever the deep-pocketed person is that is crazier than the remainder, he's the one that will win.
Ha, well Final Fight Guy variant box is neat, but not $4000 neat. The cart and manual are the same 100%, but the box is something completely new that no one had seen before until internal Nintendo stuff was pulled out. Curtis has been bombarded with people trying to buy his, but someone had first dibs on it a long time ago. I could care less if it is sealed, I just want the box, but I can live without it.
I'm waiting for a True Lies Game Gear box to pop up, that's about it =P
Auctions 1-9, 11 & 14 (uploading now) have had links added to hundreds of pix on photobucket. Remainder of the lots coming... nothing quite like spending an enrire day in a dusty warehouse. =P

Trust me, it's better than spending an entire day in a cubicle.
well, you for sure put a lot of time in taking photos and uploading them. I am sure everyone appreciates your time on this. I am not a sealed collector, but I bet this will get more $$$ for the charity, so that is great. I know I sure do not care for taking photos. Thanks for taking the time.
I also wanted to quickly apologize to the few people earlier in this thread who really wanted more pics and I said none would be forthcoming. I really didn't think I'd have today to devote to this and I did not want to promise them and then not be able to deliver.
As for the N64 lot, I missed a few titles when putting this auction up so the winner will have a few more 'surprise' items in their box when they receive it.
Most other lots will also have some additional titles added to them before shipping as we came across some more product, but not enough to justify entire new lots.
i'd say if ebay keeps f'ing with you guys that bronty and/or maximus should help out in some way... mebbe listing or something, might help give some more cred to you guys, could boost sales a bit, etc etc...
just my thoughts. irregardless, they will be fun to watch.
FYI, "irregardless" is not a word There is only "regardless". Rarebucky's grammar lesson for the day
"irregardless" does denote a double negative, but it has snuck into the english language over the years. I would say it is easily a word. you are right though that "regardless" would have been a proper use. guess my degree in journalism is more of a joke than anything...
What is the story with those Gauntlet legends with figures anyways? I have one and I know a couple others that do and they show up from time to time, but still not common whatsoever. Fairly rare, but still seem to go low (for now).
One of those items that does show up time to time, though.
Also, there are at least two Sculptor's Cuts out there now. I would say it is the second grail for the N64 sealed. There is one sealed game I think is slightly above it.

And like my man DreamTR, I'm very happy that I don't collect sealed games.
It's going to take well over $4000. I'll tell you all right now my snipe is higher than that on the Final Fight Guy lot *throws the gauntlet down*
Oh wait it's sealed.. *runs and hides*
I hope you win Jason!! LOL
Have you been waiting for this sale for a long time Dream?

o_O Um...how many factory-sealed copies of Clayfighter: Sculptor's Cut are floating around...? I think this is the only one I've ever seen.
Clearly the holy grail of N64 collecting in my opinion.
