Haha...it wouldn't surprise me too much if it did say that, but it actually looks like a Spanish explanation of the instructions, as well as of the game of soccer itself.
  • Wow, I have read this whole thread... crazy stuff... I probably don't have enough liquid money in my bank account (all invested, eh...) and time to analyze all this (I have been away of collecting NES new/sealed since too long somehow)... but here is what I had to say...

    - About eBay auctions and scam... no offense, but I think everything is possible. Someone wanting to pull a really good scam will take all precaution to make it look real, won't you? I always intend to pay when I bid, but I do sometime request some proof of ownership of the items after winning them. Especially if I pay a couple hundred of dollars for a collector item. For some reason, I have started back collecting sport cards and I can say there is a lot of scammer out there and you cannot always easily spot them at first (the same in video games or anywhere). The pictures are there, there is sometime even a lot of valid feedback, etc., etc. --- I lately bought a card from Asia, and I asked the seller a picture with his ebay name to proof ownership. He seemed offended. I mean, if I throw a couple of hundred at your item, you should just play it nice with your client! However he did (after multiple emails) sent the picture I requested and I completed the transaction. But some people act like you ask the moon, like you were evil to ask for some proof on a high dollars deal. I think it is just common sense to deal like this. A lot of people also don't answer their emails (even legit sellers on big deal...).

    - I must admit that these "everything is rare" in sportcards is annoying somehow. You try to collect one player and you end up with 200-300 different cards of him PER YEAR... if not more... that is just crazy. And if you collect a good player, they all go 25-50-100-1000$ each... pure craziness. Heck, there is now new pack of 3 card selling for 500$+ (e.g. Exquisite, The Cup, etc.). Make video games collecting and throwing grand on some rarer title more "reasonable".

    - When I started collecting video games, I was like that is way more cool than collecting cards. ;-) -- it is less price based (you somehow make your own price vs. the price-guide mindset), less collectors, etc. -- of course price increase, etc. --- but it is still a bit different of a scene.

    - Also, don't always collect to do a profit $$$. Unless that is your only goal. Enjoy collecting. Else you might be deceived easily. Especially with sport cards... one reason is there is too much card for the demand... the hype always go down after sometime. The same thing might happen with video games, but let's take NES, there is a limited amount of NES games (unless you count the new homebrew), versus 3 gazillions of different sport cards! ;-) However... Video Games... it is one of the most popular thing in our generation, and if you collect for values, there is a big chance that demand will grow. There is collectors about everything, and 1st generation games (especially in brand new condition) will be wanted and they are somewhat scarce. The rarer title might get real big money in the future as demand increase. Just a matter of time and having enough crazy people with crazy dollars.

    - Of course, I am like WTF when I see price increase of rarer stuff (that I did not put my hand on of course). But I am not surprised that much. Like I could get some years ago DW1-2-3-4 factory sealed, local delivery for around 1000$ (someone bought them off someone thinking he will do a fast profit, then he was willing to resell to me with a loss, I should've bought!!! :-|). Now DW4 alone seems to sell very high (around that price)... but who know, maybe there is a couple more in the warehouse and I will get my chance, he he he.

    - I agree about what has been said about getting rich, you probably won't get rich easily with a salary. You usually have to find some other way to generate passive income or just be lucky. ;-)

    - I am not much into this topic, but about FFG... do you think they will print, box, seal, etc. for only a couple of copy? Won't they print a small lot (50-100) at least? I would believe there is more than just 5 out there (I don't know how much you guys think there is) --- well maybe they would if their production machine were highly modular (e.g. put a label, artwork, etc. in a computer and we generate X copies of a game). I wonder what you guys think about this? (of course they might have just destroyed a lot of them... like E.T., yeah...)

Well, I guess I invested too much time with this thread and spent too much money on sport cards latests month to be a big bidder for these auctions unfortunately. At least, I guess most of the thing I want in these auctions, I will re-see them sooner or later. Damn it is amazing that a lot of these lots contains very rare/in-demand stuff. What a coincidence! Cannot always catch 'em all...

    Time to Zzz...

  • The big auctions end tomorrow. Can't wait for the fireworks!

    Youre  right

The box and instruction booklet are 100% in english , exactly the same as any other north american release.

That sheet in spanish was packed outside the game. THey did that to official nintendo releases here in Mexico.

Im just glad We always received the same versions as in the USA. No funny translations or different boxes image
  • Yep, Nintendo released their games by region, meaning "North America" as to equal Canada, USA, and Mexico for the most part on their games. They don't differentiate between these releases with the exception of French/Canadian versions with dual text, and the occasional oddity in Spanish only (Pokemon games for Game Boy, Super Copa, etc)
  • Get your popcorn ready. About an hour till the first Nes lot ends.
  • ^ Yea I'm at work so hopefully I'll be able to see the endings. Should be glorious.
  • I'm stoked for these. I've never actively sat and watched the end of an auction before, but these I'm gonna watch.
  • I hate to think what the customs fees on these are going to be... I don't know much about that, but I imagine they'll be high.
  • $4,300+

Damn, the shit was definitely brought! Who ended up pulling the first lot?

Somebody in the UK... wonder if it's anybody here.

Interesting spread of bids: two bids over $4000, and the next biggest one was $2700...
  • I thought it was going to end around $2000 until that last bid came in. I actually almost thought about bidding until I saw that.
  • Actually, given what all was there, that went lower than I expected. At least for Lot 1. Bubble Bobble 2 in there is worth a LOT of money given the offers on mine.

I expected it to go higher than what they might go for parted out, but it actually went slightly lower.
  • I didn't think it would end that high..

  • Thought it went lower too. This next one is pretty nice. My guess is near 6000.

Looks like the remaining lots will go for more and more, IMO.

    MLN'er
  • I agree Vito,The next lot has 10/17 SOLID titles(TMNT:TF,Little Samson,Jimmy Connors,Swamp Thing,Last Action Hero,etc)
  • Eh, I dunno. To me Lot #1 ended around what I thought it would. I think there comes a point where very very few people just don't have the $$$$ to buy a huge lot like that, but maybe would pay up to half that for the one game they really wanted in the lot.
  • I think alot of sealed collectors will be splitting lots with others to cut down on paying for games they already have/dont want.
  • And either all or most of the lots pooch won have been relisted....
  • now that's interesting.
  • Wow, #2 went lower than the first... and to the same bidder...
  • Wow

    Total underwhelming!!
  • That wasabisabi dudes won both nes lots
  • I think it is hilarious that there have been over 50 users online, but there wasn't a post from 2:14 until Uda's post on the whole forum!
  • Actually, I didn't want to say this before because I was bidding on lot 2, but lot 2 went somewhat high. If you break down the value of those games, it went over what they would sell for if you split them up.

    Lot 1, little low.

lot 2, slightly high. (I was runner up on this one)

Who is this buyer? never seen him before.
  • Someone on another forum seemed to think that happycstar is the same buyer as wasabisabi, but I don't know if this is true.

Just judging by their eBay locations, I don't think so: wasabisabi is in the UK, but happycstar is in the US.

EDIT: Also, wasabisabi just won #3 for $5000+.  This guy is loaded!
  • holy shat!....all to the same dude!
  • now that went high
