  • You know, I would bank on it.

Lot 3 went high and there was a group of us bidding on it (runner up)

I would be surprised if it wasn't happycstar.

That is a LOT to pay for lot 3 (and lot 2).
  • He's going for the lot it seems like.
  • One more big one, and then a 4 hour "intermission" until the FFG conclusion.
  • lot 4 here could go nuts
  • Wait, What?

  • wow....just wow....these are as fun to watch as they are to bid.
  • ok, THAT was INSANE. Not worth anywhere near that.

Those are the most insane NES auctions ever!

Now to find out who 1stappearance and wasabi are...
  • holy shit on lot 4
  • just over $20,000 as i figured..
  • Wow, United Way is going to be happy.
  • just looking at these auction, bronty needs to go insure his collection for about $1,000,000! haha well that was certainly fun to watch!
  • pretty sure wasabi is a neo-geo.com person
  • OMG that was crazy as hell! over 7K???

@bronty.. no kidding dude.. gold dosent have shat on you!
  • The question is how will these auctions effect sealed NES games in the future? I think things like this cause things to go up more than something like grading. Grading seems to point sealed games in a negative light, but there has been nothing but positive comments and fascination with these auctions. Will this hype carry over to other sealed NES auctions?

I seriously hope not or I am just about done with my sealed collection. Thankfully, I had almost every title in those 4 lots, but that means nothing if all NES sealed games have a sudden massive increase in value (and interest)...
  • I don't think they'll be able to hold these prices. Seems more like a value play for the Europeans. You know a 2-1 exchange rate will do that.
  • wow just wow
  • wasabi bought sealed auciton from me too, i seem t remember pooch bidding under that name for some of my auctions.
  • So why the hell are all of the lots that Happycstar won the other day now relisted by the seller? Happycstar not pay?
  • now...I don't have any idea who 1stappearence is.
  • I'm amazed by those prices. I thought they'd go high but damn $7,000+. Yowza.
  • SNES lot 5 went pretty high considering what the previous lot with an aero fighters went for.
  • So Sara you don't know why Happycstar's lots have all been relisted? No money? Thought seller was a scammer? Couldn't agree to terms? Seems odd and I know the first one is a no with this buyer??????
  • I posted the same question earlier.

Looking at the questions in the relisted GB lots, though, here is the answer:

    Question & Answer Answered On

Q: Why was this relisted again? Jun-09-08

A: Ebay contacted me and retracted all bids from happycstar due to an account hack or something to that effect. I have relisted all lots won by this seller over 3 days and restricted this ID from bidding further.

  • the seller said ebay notified them of the account being hijacked...take that for what's it's worth.
  • Humn... I was still planning on going after one of these lots but that sure doesn't help...

  • Wow...I just showed up and took a look at those NES auctions... $7500, that's a scary figure for that particular lot. With this much money being thrown around...I'm thinking there will be similarly high results for the Final Fight Guy lot.
  • Happycstar bought both of my custom cartridges and I had a hard as hell time getting a hold of her. She had 3 different addresses and I finally had to call and no one who answered spoke English! They couldnt understand me but I finally got someone on the phone who spoke English and they said she was flying around the world! They couldnt tell me where to ship either but cstar finally E-mailed me back and told me where to ship. The address wasnt any of the ones she had listed either. Kinda weird. She must be loaded or a fraud.
  •  she has ship too(s) in Hong Kong, USA (2 locations) and probably more. Maybe bit too much off and couldn't chew it?
  • Crazy stuff. I don't really have much else to say, but thought I'd poke my head in here to say that.

... And, as before, I'm very happy I don't collect sealed games image
