Almost 1000 Members!
well, it seems the membership here is growing faster as it gets bigger. We currently have 991 members, yesterday is was 980, and the day before that 975. At this rate we'll have 1000 members by the end of the week. Almost time for a celebration
Oh, and I nominate myself to be the next member of the Mod Squad(not like that makes a difference), but we will get a new Mod Squader at 1000. Anyone taking bets on the next mod?

We should get together some kind of random prize for the 1000th member or something, lol. I think we are about the the size in which we will have to start appointing Mods to specific sections of the forum to manage, and have 1-2 Global Mods that can mod the whole board.

That would be neat, but then you might have problems with people TRYING to be the 1000th member, or trying to pull a fast one to win the prize.
Section Mods would be good, granted I think it would be good to have them all Global as it provides better coverage. Sometimes issues pop up at wierd times, and whomever is around at that time can handle it rather than waiting for a specific mod.
Oh and Uncletusk would be a very ENTERTAINING mod
how bout a CIB sealed bubble bobble 2 for the 1000th member?.. think i'll ask my non-NES collecting friends to sign up en-masse now
how bout a special forum title or a mini-interview in the next ezine?
I'm sure there are tons of people here that would love to help Dain out by doing this. Regardless of who becomes moderators now and in the future, I'm sure it's not a decision that's taken lightly, so they'll do a rockin' good job keeping us from being at each other's throats.
If the idea is to pick someone from the wrong side of the world, Zzap would be a good choice for the same chat reasons.
Udisi would make a good mod too.
I agree with different time zone people as mods. Makes sense as well.
Let's make it into a reality show. 12 contestants have to spend a month in the NGD house, kissing butt and eliminating each other. The challenges for immunity will be Super Off-Road, Ice Hockey and Solar Jetman competitons. Last place gets locked in the giant NES overnight.
This was the post of the month! LOL * 1,000!
Time for me to get off of the soap box, lol.
heck is was only 17 days since we hit 900, it's definitly speeding up.
Yeah, its pretty amazing, never expected to see this many new members this fast!
If the idea is to pick someone from the wrong side of the world
Oi! It's the right side of the world thankyou very much
I remember coming here when there was 100 or so members. This place certainly exploded. I just started a full time job, and don't have as much internet time as I used to. I just got home, and there are so many new topics that I can't possibly read through them all and reply to all of them like I used to. It's quite overwhelming really. I'm really glad NintendoAGE is picking up popularity, but at the same time, it could be a bad thing too. I guess it just means more work for the moderators.
Time for me to get off of the soap box, lol.
Well, that's why we have quite a few moderators, all with different interests and at different points in collecting. Altogether we pretty well hit everything that needs it. I don't think any one of us can claim we read every post, everyday.
And BTW, you're user #91 so good estimate there Nick

You're defintely right. But I think if the new incoming members continue to be the same style of "people" that we have here already, it will only get better. The people here are amazing. I've been a member of many communities online, and this by far surpasses any of them in terms of friendships.

I read 99% of all posts, only a very small handful slip by me. I remember when we were just like 3 members and I made the VERY first post on the site.

I wish I could read 99% of all posts. Unfortunately I think I only read about 50% of them now, due to a new job, new girl, and there being SOOOO many new posts daily.
