Collection List on NA
K, it took me making a list or two to feel like I finally got the swing of things, but I think there are one or two options that could be added that would make the collection tool even better.
Let's say I want to make a new collection. I want to list out all the games for NES that were reproductions. As of right now, it looks like I would have to start a generic collection, or simply make a new one with nothing in it, then go and add titles one at a time. Here is what I was seeing, though.
Again, my first time doing this, so it's possibly there were easier ways I don't know about.

There is no way to sort when adding titles. If I could sort categories, then it would lump all the repros/homenrews/unlicensed together. That would be huge. Right now, alphabetical is all we get.
There is no way to save titles from different pages. You have to do one page at a time, add those titles, then start a new search, get to the next page, repeat process. If it could save choices from page to page, that would be awesome.
When I clicked, add more titles, after adding some titles, it took me back to the generic list with every game from every system. It would be nice if it remembered the search and simply took me back to the last page I was viewing.

First, go into the NES database and refine search to show only homebrews: http://nintendoage.com/index.cfm?Element_Type_ID=1&Keywords=&Match=all&Sort=Element_Title&order=asc&ResultsPerPage=100&search=Search&Class_ID=9&Rarity_ID=&Box_Rarity_ID=&Man_Rarity_ID=&Company_ID=&companyType=P&Region_ID=19&Format_ID=&Equipment_ID=&Player_Type_ID=&Save_Type_ID=&exclFormatID=2,3,4&exclClassID=1&exclRegionID=5,6,7,8,9,11,12,14,15,16,18,20&FuseAction=Search.Results&pId=1&Category_ID=1
Check the checkbox at the very top (to the right of "Images") then click one of the little green buttons to add to a collection. Pick which of your collections to add them to, and they should all be added.
Edit: Actually, they're added to your queue. Go to manage your collections, click "manage queue" at the top, and then select them all and move them to one of your collections. That gave me this: http://nintendoage.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=Collection.View&clId=56441

Very cool. Looks like there was multiples ways to get this done, I just picked the hardest.
It took me a while to figure this out. I was trying to make lists of all games by region, exporting an excel spreadsheet for each region. But as far as I know, you can only do that for your collections, not from the database directly. So I had to create a collection for each region, export it, delete and repeat There may be other ways to do this that is easier, but I couldn't really see any other way to do it. NA Collections have been a bit tricky to use, but it's definitely the best out there
Weird.
