Look What I Dug Outta the Trash!!! Wii Kiosk!!

well me and the wife thought today was a good day to finally upgrade one of our Xbox 360 headsets  to a wireless one so we headed over to bestbuy and on the way out i decieded to take the backroad home to get back to our apartment and i seen this (BELOW) hanging out of the dumpster i almost shit myself!!!! took me like 35 min to load it into her honda accord and then i had to hang on to it so it didnt fly out of the trunk all in all i think it  was totally worth saving!!!! im gonna clean it up place the back panels back on and sell or trade it (cuz im not a huge fan of the wii and already own to other dreamcast kiosk) anyways its like solid metal heavy as hell and 8 foot tall lol

    I really need to start checking a few Gamestop's in my area to see when they'll be tossing Wii kiosk.

    Yea for sure I just got it cleaned up and rewired I need to replace 2 bulbs and a power strip but other hen that this thing is legit!!!! Might keep it now lol

    Sad part is I found TWO like this going around and both had the wires ripped out to the point where it wasn't worth it. Even got a controller and arm with yours so very nice indeed. Also a thought, if you are getting a Wii U, could alter this into a Wii U display possibly.

    Anyone sees these around they should pick them up, even if they seem to be missing something.



    In several years it will be impossible to find parts for these, so it could help revive one in need.



    And, oh yeah... NICE SCORE.



    Hoping to snag one soon enough... I have several Nintendo Kiosks, so it will fit nicely with my collection.

    I used to work near a Gamestop and I'd have to use their garbage bin. Seemed like every other Sunday there'd be a ton of in store posters for stuff like Skyrim etc. just sitting in a box in the top of the bin.

    I just got back from Lowes with some new bolts, screws I've rewired most of it I just got to mount the new TV on it tonight and it we be done!!!!!!

    Not going to lie, because on this thread I went to Gamestop and looked in the dumpster. Found a Black Wii console box. Its a bundle box with Wii Sports and Resort. Nothing special but something I didnt have before. Went inside and the Wii Kiosk was already gone...

    Great find. Thats pretty ingrateful of them to just throw that out, but atleast you saved it from getting destroyed.

    You know it is kind of sad they have the nerve to trash these I mean I understand maybe none of the employees wanted it for some reason but no on there even thought to ask there family or friends if they wanted...... doesn't really make sense but whatever I appreciate it so guess that's all hat matters

    my friend just texted me and said that his manager at Gamestop took apart half of it and threw it away in the dumpster tonight, and hes going to throw out the rest soon.. too bad he probably ripped out andything of use. i dunno if i should go save the parts he threw out and try and recover the rest later....

    I've been checking my GS for the past 2 weeks no sign of a Wii kiosk yet. but I did find a bunch of 360 kiosk disks. Great find man, hoping to find one myself!!

    Well after about 20-25 bucks in supplies and one day of work ive got it all fixed up and looking good,,,,,rewired alot of it placed a new fan inside a new powerstrip mounted a new tv and cleaned it replaced all the screws, nuts, washers, and bolts





    all i need to do is replace 2 bulbs (t4-8w/blue, t4-6w/blue)

    i also dont have the plastic case that goes over the wii i need that 2..

    I just stopped by my GS and they said they are re-using theirs for the Wii U... sucks.

    I called my Gamestop today, and it had to be destroyed. The employee said that they can't even keep it, and that it's taken apart completely (wires cut and all), and that the Nintendo rep takes the console/tv and other major parts.

    I think I have what you need. I just got back from a dive and pretty much only found a few parts to the Wii Kiosk but I think it's the one you need. I'll get some picks up soon.

    i just got it put on the kiosk and it looks great!!!!!! i think im the first person to get one of these complete minus the original tv and the wii all im short is 2 bulbs!!!!!!!



    ill upload pics of what it looks like on the kiosk later my phones to dead to take pictures.....HINT HINT it looks awesome and well the way i got it was a whole lot of explaining and answering questions and then they let me have it


    anyways i may also be getting a second kiosk tonight!!!!! so look forward to that news :0

    took forever these are 200 lbs + btw i just saved another one from the dumpster ill have pics up tonight also if anyone is interested its for sell!!!!

    well with the kiosk im currently selling i took 2 bulbs out of it and cleaned up my kiosk a little more and well i got some good pics
