just picked up a few things from the flea market
check it out
the ladyfriend and i have been negotiating with this old timer flea market vendor for about a year now. we always joked about buying him out so he could quit going to the market, and every time we told him to name a price he would say something slightly different. one time it was 1500, another time 1200. then back to 1500.
we hadnt seen him in weeks, so we asked the other vendors where he was. apparently he was focusing on his antique show vending, and put all of his games into storage. so we asked one of the guys to call him, and then handed me the phone. at first he didnt remember me, until i described my ladyfriend as "the girl with the tattoos and short hair" and he said "OH YEAH! Wanna buy me out now?" and i said "name a price" he said "a thousand even. when do you wanna do it?" i told him we were at the market, meet us there.
30 minutes later he was leading us to his storage unit across town, where we spent the next hour or two emptying it into the back of my ladyfriends explorer sport trac. it wasnt big enough, so we have to go back thursday. this is what we got so far:

we each put up 500 bucks, with the agreement that she got first dibs on all Sega and i got first dibs on all Nintendo.
as much as id love to trade for deluxe set styro, there really wasnt enough gamegear stuff there to make an even trade anyway.
5 toasters
10 controllers
14 zappers (one with cut cord
3 NES Max
2 Dogbone controllers
1 four score
1 satellite
2 NES advantage
3 quick shot joysticks
4 aftermarket controllers
6 clamshells
3 RF switches
1 aftermarket RF switch
2 power bricks
after doing that, i found another box of NES carts and the box with ROB and a game genie, so i had to re-sort the carts. unfortunately, ROB is missing his hands, the gyro holder, and one of the tops of a gyro. the spinner does have its battery door, and it takes a D battery. ROB has his battery door too.
heres the carts (ignore my toes):
