First review I've done in a month and change. Got some more on the horizon over the next few months.

Feel free to sub if you'd like

  • I was looking at youtube the other day and realized there weren't enough retro video game reviews, so I decided to correct this problem!

Here is my first video review (Legacy of the Wizard) for my new channel: G-type Wins!

I hope you will forgive the amateur sound/video... everything was recorded using my iphone

I think you inadvertantly taught me how to fix my debug station. Subbed. That was an extremely helpful video.

Also I posted this in my own topic but since I'm a spammy cam whore here it is again:

Subbed. I'm at work now but will check out your channel later tonight.

  • Roger is back with the first Halloween Special on our channel for this year! Talking about HOLY DIVER, a Castlevania clone for the Famicom from IREM.
  • Part I of Episode 4 is up! It didn't come easy and some technical problems were probably apparent... I shut my finger in a car door today too, so it may be a few days before Part II is up. Hopefully I'll nab a few new subscribers along the way.

  • To celebrate the 50th episode of The Old Ass Retro Gamer I share "My Top 10 Video Games of All Time!" What are my faves? Watch the video to find out! Please subscribe to my channel, comment, share and give it a thumbs up. Thanks and enjoy!

  • It's viewer request time on Innocent Until Proven Guilty as the infamous Swamp Thing is brought to court! Thanks for watching

  • I did more. For anyone who doesn't already know how to do this, I hope it's useful.

  • Today marks the 30th anniversary of the NES, so I decided to take a look back at the games that were available at launch. Thanks for watching

  • Matt's not the only one with a new video celebrating 30 years of NES! I've got Five Spooky Reasons to Own an NES!

  • Check out my review of different pinball games!

  • I had an idea to make a series of top 5 lists that were each based on a unique and specific theme. Here is my first entry:

I have a bunch of other list ideas such as

Top 5 games about making games

    top 5 dual reality games

top 5 games about perilous food

top 5 graphic adventures with text parsers

top 5 games that mix block puzzles with other genres

Let me know what you think and if you have any other suggestions.
  • Heh, I like the oddly specific and humorous top 5 ideas. I think you're likely to draw an audience with those.

And spammy spammerson time, this is a thing:

  • Thanks! They are also the least labor intensive of all my grandiose video ideas, so thats a plus too.
  • A few days late - but here's the newest episode on my Youtube channel. Please check it out and subscribe if you like!

Also, I'm totally down to Sub 4 Sub if you've got a retro channel - just let me know!

  • Bonus episode! My 3 year old nephew plays Sesame Street ABC for NES.
  • I have a let's play channel. I play Nintendo games mostly but I have other games to. I adding to it at least every week (recently I had a problem at home and needed a break) but most of the time I post 5 days a week an hour video a day. I play obscure and well known. I also have some tip videos, cartoon reviews and reacts and more of those are coming soon. I hope you can enjoy my content or I can at least give you a laugh or two. It is mainly for fun. :3 Tell me what you think if you like. I love to get feedback as it is hard to find and I am always ready to improve :3

you and your nephew are so adorable! X3 Anyways, interesting videos. I would recommend maybe making the game sound louder though as I can barely hear it. You might want to make the webcam a little bigger on the screen to. Just a little suggestion. Other than that, I think it's good and I like it :3 You are funny and entertaining to watch and your intros are good to. Keep up the good work! X3

Yeah... the above video took me 7 hours to edit. And I have a list video I've been working on for a month. I understand.

I love a good top list, especially the ones with unique ideas like yours. I like the presentation and your speech is very characteristic and clear. Very good. The only thing I would suggest is to add a little joke or comment at the end of each entry in the list. You have everything a popular top ten list has except that. I think that would give it the extra boost of quality it needs. Great work! I should learn from you. I am thinking of making top lists soon :3

Thanks for watching and for your suggestion! I will try to add a little more humor to my next video. If you have a chance, check out my Legacy of the Wizard review; That one has more humor in it, and I agree some comedy definitely make a video much more watchable.

glad I could help :3 I always like to try and help youtubers since not everyone gives feedback and I know how annoying that is. I have checked out your other video and I like the humour. I certainly made me laugh XD I think you got it down really. The editing is the best part. I am curious about what editor you use? Is it free? All I have is Windows Movie Maker GAH! XS I did think you needed to speak up a bit a few times though as it went a little too quiet a few times. You also might want to work on making your voice sound a little more interesting. Not to say yours wasn't but often what works by my expereinces of watch so many reviews on youtube is talking like a children's show host. Be over enthusiastic so you feel a little dumb and it should actually work to your benefit. Give it a try. Might work. Otherwise, it is great! I wish I could do it as well as you. Keep it up and I might subscribe :3

Glad to hear you got a laugh from it! This was my first video, so it is definitely a learning experience. I understand your frustration about having limited access to video making tools. I had to film the whole thing on my iPhone using the built in microphone. For the editing, I did it in iMovie which came free on my Mac.

Agreed, awesome first video. I think for some of these you ended up stating facts about the game but never why you like them and why you feel they belong in the Top 5.

Sometimes I was expecting you to explain why you liked this game, but then you'd just move onto the next game instead. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to your next vids.
