Here's a couple of things you can do to piss him off. I had the same situation a couple of months ago and I finally just said to hell with it and I stated posting links to pricecharting.com and making posts on specific games showing their value. I feel like the majority of people who sell something on CL are first timers so it didn't hurt me in the long run, also I had some people contact me from that ad and I was able to make a deal that way. I didn't get a steal but I was able to turn a profit.
Lastly Just copy and paste his ad. Exact title and everything. (Change his number to yours) My guy never put his number in his ads so my ad ended up being exactly like his. Also change the email that you are using with your CL account. It seems that once your account starts getting multiple flags it makes it easier for your ads to be taken down.
I tried and did all of this and have positive results and some fun with the guy. I hope this helps and good luck.
respond to one of his ads and set up a buy. meet up with him. follow him home and burn his house down.
Your statement combined with your profile picture just cracked me up.
But on a more serious note, we have a craigslist-like service here in Sweden, and I've had my fair share of bad experiences there. It seems to bring out the worst in people.
Same crap happens on Kijiji here in Canada. Had a guy a few months back post an ad giving away a free PS3 slim, put my number in the ad and put a fellow collectors address in the ad as well for pick up. I got calls all through out the day about it. Also one time all my ads I posted got the "delayed for a few hours for inspection". I found that just redoing the ad with different words and such worked out fine.
That's too bad, man. I haven't ever run into that problem. I'm friends with most of my competition, more fun that way.
Same here.. Luckily, me and some of the others gererally get most of our stuff from different places and only sometimes cross paths. Usually ends in a laugh when we do.. Every now and then i'll get a text from one of them seeing if i have something and vis-versa. In fact Ugly_Monster lives in the town next to me..
Although there are still those a**-hole buyers around..
