Steelo999's Find's
A couple of monts ago went to a garage sale that was advertised as having "Old Game Systems". Got there kind of late so I did'nt think I'd find anything, guessing somebody else had snatched everything up. As I walked up and looked around I did'nt see any games so I asked the guy who was running the sale if he had any game. He said "Yes, I got them inside the house". As I walked in the house the first thing I noticed was a boxed GameCube. As I got closer I noticed an NES and a couple of Gold GameBoy game boxes. When I picked them up, they were 2 sealed copies of The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening! I ended up getting the 2 Zelda's for $5! He also sold me the NES with 5 games for $15. The best game in the NES lot was Battletoads which was pretty cool because I did'nt have it. The only bad thing about the Zelda's is that they were Player's Choice copies. So far this has been my best score. I did sell one of the Zelda's for $127 on eBay. The other one is staying in my collection.

suddenly, someone's avatar on NA makes sense ( I had previously thought it was some Winnie the Poo thing )
Edit: What's that Enix thing below Pokemon red?
Edit 2: It would appear to have something to do with Wonder Project J, a Japanese N64 game. I assume it's a special memory card of some sort?

Gotta love when stuff like this happens! Nice scores on the sealed copies.

I love how BFD is the only high-priced game in the lot there. I hope you haggled on that despite it being a great price to begin with. Just weird seeing how everything else is $3-5 including Shante, Harvest Moon, and SSB and it's Conker priced high. Clearly the estate sale people don't know what games are worth or based it on "oh Mario and Zelda are popular $5 for those and hey this red game must be rare lets put $8 on that." Good thing too. XDDD
I'm thinking that one may have just gotten looked up on ebay for whatever reason and they thought no one would pay that kind of money for a N64 game at an estate sale
Edit: Haha that's awesome that Metal Jesus was there. I would have been disappointed to not get to chat with him, he seems like one of the coolest youtube gaming personalities.

Anyway, I was home and I decided to take one last look at Craigslist to see if anything new had popped up. I noticed one that said “Nothing over $20” and they had a Nintendo with games listed. So I jumped in my car and headed out as fast as I could. The drive was around 25-30 minutes. I show up and sure enough it was gone. I asked the homeowner if he still had it and he said he just sold it 5 minutes ago. So I was kind of upset and since I drove this far I decided to check out some other sales in the area. I found one that was less than a mile away. Once I got there it was a thrift shop, I walk inside and notice the shelf of games, of course the usual suspects you would find at a thrift shop, PS2 and XBOX sports games, racing games, Rock bands, etc. They were asking $5 EA or 3 for $10. There were 2 Game Cube games which caught my eye: Pac-Man Vs / Pac man World 2 (I had this game but my copy was not in the GC double disc case). When I opened it to my amazement was a loose disc that almost fell on the floor! It was FIRE EMBLEM PATH OF RADIANCE!!! I tried to get 3 games for $10 but the other GC game, Crazy Taxi had The Sims in it. So I just handed the clerk $5 + tax and walked out with a Gem!6 games for $6
Mega Man 3
