Pretty decent weekend so far. Since I work on Friday, My Wife goes hunting alone, she did pretty good on Friday picking up this lot for $40. Everything here in in excellent condition (except the GBC's sound doesnt work). The kid who had it to very good care of it.
She Also found these figures for $4
Friday night I had a decent Craigslist Score. Nothing rare here, just a lot of fillers. However, not bat for $40.
Then Today We went out G-Sailin', This is what My Wife and Daughters found for $5.
I went to a different area and here were my pickups for $23 (not pictured: 2 Bootleg SNES boxed contollers, should have checked them closer).
But My Find of the Day was This 3DS and 2 games for $10! Absolutly Mint Condition!
Gonna be the first to ask what everyone is going to be thinking: where in the HELL did you find a 3DS for $10, and what drugs was that person taking?
Well, West Seattle was having their Annual Community-wide sale today, Garage Sales everywhere, I came up to one that was kind of up this hill. They had a sign on the road that said, "No Parking Beyond This Point". So I park my car and start walking up this hill. As I walk up to this garage, first thing I notice was a parked motorcycle with a sidecar. It was funny because there was this Chocolate Lab Dog in the sidecar just chillin'. But anyway, I'm looking around and look inside a big tub and see "Bust a Move Universe" in a ziplock back with the $10 pricetag. So I'm thinking $10 for that game, no way. But then I notice there's a second game so I pick it up. When a picked it up I turned the bag around and the two 3DS camera lenses are starring me in the face! Then I'm thinking, "Holy Crap!, this is a 3DS!" So I ask the homeowner "$10 Bucks for This", and he say's "yes". Paid him the $10, Petted the Dog in the sidecar and was on my way! He was an older Gentleman, Late 50's early 60's?
Went to a Garage Sale today where a collector was downsizing. Got a pretty good deal getting all of this for $200.
These were the random pick ups through out the day:
Halo 4 (New, Plastic Wrap removed but Security Sticker still intact - $5
Pokemon Stadium 2 - $2
Resident Evil (GCN) - $10
Golden Sun (GBA) w/ Manual & Map - $10
Yoshi's Story w/ Manual - $5
Jet Set Radio Future (missing Manual - $1
Saw this GameCube for $40 and quickly turned away but then I realized I forgot to do something that I always do when I see a GameCube, LOOK FOR THE FREAKIN' BROADBAND ADAPTOR!. And sure enough It was there! But still, I wasnt going to pay $40 for a GCN, so I offered her $20 and she accepted.
So It was getting late (11:30) but we were still grinding it out and came across a decent SNES find for $15. Console, all the cords and controllers, 9 SNES Games and a Bonus N64 Game! I grabed it so fast that I didnt even notice the Mega Man 64 until I got home.
This lot of games set me back $102 at some Garage Sales yesterday.
But the steal of the day was this N64 lot! I had went to this "Multy-Family" sale because they had "20 Playstation Games". I got there 3 hours after they started on a hope and prayer that they were still there. I found out they were gone early but the family who brought this in had "Slept in" and arived late. For all this they were asking $4!!!
Here is testimony that when you're out Garage Sailing and you don't see any Video Games that you ALWAYS ASK! This PS1 lot set me back $150. A bit more than I wanted to spend but at $5 a game, not too bad. This stuff was not advertised but I asked if he had Video Games and he said he did but wasnt selling them. I asked what he had and he said " A bunch of Playstation games". I asked him if they were sports and he said "No, Mainly RPG's". So I left him my number and went on my way. But all throughout the day I was thinking "What if he has some of the Rare RPG's like Suikoden 2 and Valkirie Profile"? So I went back and asked him if he would listen to offers? He said yes and allowed me to look at his collection. No super rares but not too bad either. I offered him $150 and he said no. He told me he was going to think about it and that I could come back on Sunday. When I went back on Sunday he accepted my offer of $150 so here it is:
But something happened while I was on my way to this guys house. On the way I was stopping at some G-sales and came across one that looked like crap. Guy had basically nothing for sale! I usually just do a drive-by on these but this time i said "What the Hell!" So I ask the guy if he has and Video Games and he says, "Yes, But only Super Nintendo". I tell him, "Well That's what I'm looking for". He didnt have them set out but tell me they were in his wife's car. He get them and there is a sack full of games! I was thinking maybe "Mario's and DK's" but while I was digging through this bag, I kept on pulling out gem after gem of not just SNES but N64 as well. I make him an offer but he says he has to go inside the house and check with his wife because they were her game. He comes back out and says that his wife had some kind of trade worked out for some NES games because they still had a NES. I up my offer and he still does not sell. He feels kind of bad and grabs a stack of games from the top and tells me "you can have these, my wife doesnt know whats in here". I turn him down and tell him I want them all and that I had a bunch of NES games to trade. He says OK, and a rush back home a bring back my games. I ended up trading him around 45 NES games for all of this. They were all of my doubles, I had Mario's, LoZ, Contra, Battletoads, and a bunch of common stuff. Stuff I would have gladly swaped for this. He was very happy that he got all those NES games which worked out for both of us.
Dude those games are amazing!! 45 common NES games for all this is a fantastic deal
well yeah really depends on the games he traded because 3 of the ones he listed are 20 bucks a pop. I bet he proabably got them for not very much so still though dont think it could be a bad deal regardless. Common doesnt mean cheap nowadays.
2 Donkey Kong SNES Sets (Missing Controllers and Games, boxes a little rough, consoles mint) $15 Each
1 N64 Boxed Grey Set $20 (Mint condition)
1 Virtual Boy (Missing Mario Tennis Game, Mint condition) $20
1 Bandai Apple Pippin Atmark (Complete, Like New) $100
They also threw in 6 Virtual Boy game boxes that were missing the games for free
2 ea Mario Clash
Golf
Vertical Force
Nester's Funky Bowling
3D Tetris
The woman that was having the sale said she works for Digipen and that her company was throwing these out, so she had her husband do some dumpster diving!
Went to a Garage Sale today, the lady that was having it was one of the developers of the Mario vs. Donkey Kong games. She was unloading a bunch of stuff! Most of the games she was selling were Japanese imports. I wasnt the first one there so I missed out an a bunch of games. I did score some neat Nintendo items including this for only $10!!!! Autographed by Ken Griffey Jr.

Thanks. The garage sale had a Model 2 CIB, I just left it behind because I already had one.
