Super Castlevania 4 question

Why is there a colored version, and a black & white version of this manual?  They have the same ser#, so I dont get it.

  • Isn't that something to do with colored manuals being made in Japan while B&W manuals are assembled in Mexico?
  • Also, is there a rarity difference between the two, or is one supposed to match up w/ a different box than the other?
  • There should be a spot on the back of the box that states whether it was made in Japan or Mexico. I'm not sure on rarity, but I'd think the Japanese version would be more desirable. Anyone else wanna chime in on this?
  • Mine both say assembled in Mexico, but I have one of each...
  • Yeah, also the cart made in Mexico has a different back from the cart made in Japan. It has no label on the back it's all plastic and the cart itself is a little bit lighter than cart made in Japan. The cart made in Japan and color manual are more sought after by collecter's than it's made in Mexico counterpart.I've also seen a TMNT Turtles in time cart like this as well.It should say were it's made on the front of the cart under the Nintendo seal of approval .
  • my mexico copy has the B&W manual
