Wii U vs Bubble Bobble 2

I need help making this hard choice ,I have a chance to own a Minty copy of Bubble Bobbie 2 .The price is $250 ,but I can't see myself taking that kind of loot out of my account so close to Christmas when I have three kids ,and a wife to buy gifts for so I'm thinking about trading my brand new Wii U in for this very rare cart.Should I do it?

Comments

  • Personally, I would trade since the opportunity to reaquire a Wii U is higher than getting a Bubble Bobble 2.
  • Yea, I would, I traded my PS3 for an Action 52, same reason would apply here, you can get Wii U anywhere really, and if not right now, in the near future, they're going to be produced for the next half a decade, Bubble Bobble 2 has been OOP for over 2 decades, and the price is only going to rise
  • Yup...and this should sound odd coming from me. The Wii U will be there for ya when you're ready again, and maybe with a skinnier price ticket to boot. If you've been looking for BB2 for a while, then you must snatch it. I still remember how that felt. You won't regret it.
  • the price of bb2 keeps going up, and the wii u will eventually come down.
  • That does it guys thanks ,I'm going to do it .The reason I post this dumb question is because my wife likes the Wii U because she like's the lastest and greatest, were I'm thinking as a collector ,but she said go head seeing it's such a rare and expensive game.

    DO IT!

  • if your wife encourage you to do it, then just ****ing do it lol. there's no way in hell my wife will support any of my gaming purchase. im jealous of you !
  • I would not do it. You can sell the Wii U for a lot more than the cost of a BB2 cart (You actually had to have paid $300 or more for it to begin with) and, while BB2 is getting "rare", its not to a point where there are times where there are none available on Ebay/Amazon/etc. There is actually a guy locally who has been trying to sell his on Craigslist for $265 for no less than 4 months with no takers.

Yeah...I meant to say that as well....cart and cash for the Wii U. I don't keep up with those values much anymore.
  • You should definately do it. You'll get more chances to buy a Wii U, while with Bobble Bobble 2 you might not have another chance to buy one at that price.
  • Sell the Wii U and use the cash to buy the cart. Or cash plus cart for Wii U.
  • Is it CIB or cart only? Minty CIB then do it now!
  • No way is it CIB unless he's getting a sick deal. I would keep the Wii U- your wife likes it, and I'm sure your kids do too. Don't sacrifice something your family will enjoy for the sake of your collection. You'll be able to get Bubble Bobble 2 any time.

Ditto !!  Keep that awesome wife of yours happy !!

  • I didn't trade the Wii U ,but I still got the game!!!My wife said I could get it ,so I paid cash for it.I have a pretty good wife ,she cool with it.She was even cool with me buying a NWC cart!
  • I was there when he bought it. Grinning ear to ear!
  • Show us pics!!!!!! Or post with 1000 words describing it.
  • It's an awesome condition ,I'm happy with the game!
  • Hey, congratulations! I'm glad everything worked out for you. I was gonna suggest going for the BB2 since you could more easily acquire a Wii-U down the road (and if you wait long enough, significantly cheaper than BB2 ), but looks like I was a bit late.

Enjoy the game. Other than the lack of simultaneous two-player, BB2 is better in almost every way. Enjoy!

    Thanks man!
  • Dude, I wish I would have seen this a few days earlier. I have a Bubble Bobble 2 cart(clean) with instructions that I would have traded for a Wii U(Deluxe).  I spent several days chasing a Wii U for my son's birthday and finally got one at Target.

Oh well, sounds out like your wife is cool and you got to keep both, so win-win.
