  • Traded in some stuff I already made money on to a local game store for credit. It and $25 out of my pocket got me a really nice loose copy of Ninja Gaiden Trilogy. The most expensive SNES game I own now.
  • Killed me a personal white whale today, nothing too extravagant, it was personal.

I walk into half price books to do a random spot check since I had to go to the post office. I run into a game I've literally wanted for 10 years for the Gamecube. It's a PAL release, my asshole brother had it pre 2005 and let me play it after me wanting it awhile. I tell him let me have it if he sells, fucker sells it sometimes later and not to me. Now you're probably thinking, PAL -> NTSC don't mix, you need a mod chip or something. Welcome, the Freeloader, the v1.06 and back release with the GTA looking print on the box/disc as the new one won't do it, the whole purpose is to region code 0 basically the GC with it and that's it. I knew where to find one of those too. I spent $20 on the game which is normal minus the UK Airmail postage($10~) and the Freeloader was $10 too, it's rare, I know it's pricy just not how expensive but last I heard it's one of those $50-100 things. The game -- Doshin the Giant, the condition, spotless! I've been on a Gamecube rage which was anything but my intent in the last 10 days knocking it out of the park on the expensive stuff for less and then this!

  • Had some decent small scores recently not really thread-worthy, still nice though:

GBA AGS-101 (Pearl Blue) with 2 chargers, blue/black carrying case, and 13 kids games - $24

    3 PS2 controllers - $5 for all

GBA Dragon Ball Z: Legacy of Goku (sealed, probably a reseal though) - $3

GBA AGS-001 (Fire Red, no charger, sound issues) - $2
  • New to the forums, but I have been watching/reading everyone elses finds for a while. But recently went to a couple of thrift stores and picked up some goodies:

Paid $20 for all of this at a GW... My first time seeing SNES/NES games at a GW. I got it mainly for Mega Man X!!!

    image

Got these at a local thrift store for $3 each

    image

Got these at another local thrift.. Prices range from $0.25 to $1, Blu-ray was $3

  • No pictures, but I put myself into the flea market today down south, found 3 nice items for me.

    -$17 Bucky O Hare(spotless)

-$3 Trojan (glue stick for curling label a little)

    -$4 Custom Robo GC complete

I think I did pretty well especially on bucky as it ranges from 23shipped up through the mid30s+shipping.
  • Hit up the Clearance rack at Half price books today.

Got 11 GB games for $1.00 each. Plus two cases.

Nothing super, but here is the list

    Jungle Book

    Nintendo World Cup

    Smurfs

    Solar Striker

    Spots Cool Adventure

  • @Rickstar 22

Someone was selling one of those Samsung monitors here on our local Craigslist, but I didn't know anything about it.

Are they hard to find? Sought after? and what would something like this be worth?

It is cool !!! I really like it !!!

Has 3 AV ports in the back for 3 system goodness, and the sound is VERY good... I'm impressed.

I watched one go for a little bit on the bay, and I see the Sharps more than these. I've had a wanted ad on CL for a month without a nibble...

No dice, I can't find that ad anywhere. It was on for quite awhile. He probably got tired or reposting it.

Thanks for the hookup !!! Very cool stuff !!!
  • While I'm incredibly happy with this one, I didn't feel that it warranted its own thread, so here.

I managed to pick up Climber, AKA one of the hardest G&Ws to get and one of the best, for $86, significantly lower than it normally goes for. While it isn't the much more prized and sleeker crystal-screen, I'm very happy with it, since I intend to actually play it, rather than have it as a collector's item. Plus, it's in great condition, and doesn't even have the battery cover missing, like so many other units.

  • Sexy steelbook time.

    imageAfrika $9 (w/PUR)

    imageOpoona $4.49 (w/PUR)

    imageHeavenly Guardian $1.70 (w/PUR)

    Gamecube games:

Grabbed Super Monkey Ball 2 and Sonic Gems Collection for $5 each from Goodwill. Luigi's Mansion was missing the game so they gave it to me for free (artwork is kind of image ed up. The case looked like a dog ate it up, some went through to the artwork, I switched out the case with a spare I had). The rest I got from Gamestop for 75%+10% off
