picked me up a sega saturn cib for $35 today.. with mint manuals, saturn stickers, registration card, etc.. in the package only opened to get the demo disk out.
This just arrived in the mail. 40 nice looking games. Paid $46 shipped for the lot from Blowback here on the forums. Some notables are Captain Comic, -CAN Metroid, Dr. Mario, and Super Spike V'Ball.
I'm stoked because I only owned two or three of these particular games before... A decent jump in my collection numbers.
My mom called me and told that she found some NES,SNES and PS1 games from a flea market. The NES games were 2 Sachen games Jovial Race and Silent Assault both were boxed. Loose UN Squadron and Best of Best Championship Karate for SNES and ReBoot for Ps1
Got Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Tetris, Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt, Castlevania 2, The Guardian Legend(CIB), Super Mario Bros 3(CIB), and a Game Genie with Code Book. Also 5 Nes hard case. All this for 28 bucks Also got a few cents of ebay bucks.
I am a new member here and have found some good games within the last few months that I would like to share. Some were found by my brother who collects as well and hooked me up. I hope noone cares that I am listing some finds that around 3 months old to very recent but everytime I find something it is exciting but have never had anyone to share it with since all my friends can careless about this stuff and thinks game collecting is weird. Anyway, I went to California for a wedding and found a cd store in a college town and they had thousands of video games. I am being serious when I say that. I couldn't believe some of the games they had. I bought Power Blade 2 with manual for $20, Kid Klown with manual for $10 and Chubby Cherub with manual for $15. You could tell they had these for years. After I got back to the great state of Tennessee, my brother and I got very lucky again and found 2 Might Final Fight games for $3 each, Wacky Races for $5, 2 Adventure Island 3 games for $6 each, Gi Joe for $3, Little Samson for $1(my brother had just paid over $100 for one with the manual and then found this 2 days later), and 2 more Power Blade 2 games for $3 each. I also found about 20 complete in box Original Gameboy games, three that I had always wanted, The Real Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters 2, and Donkey Kong(first release). The same place had about 15 Original Nintendo Games Complete in box(Bubble Bobble, Mike Tysons Punchout, Volleyball, Maniac Mansion, Double Dragon, and some other so so games, like Caveman Games, that I still don't know why I bought.) The crazy thing is that the boxes, manuals, and cartridges for the gameboy and nes games looked new. All of the complete games were very cheap. I think the most I paid for one was $10 and the cheapest $2. The guy told me they had a bunch of SNES games Complete in box but somebody had beat me to them that day. I keep wanting to find Panic Restuarant, Snow Brothers, Fire N Ice, and Bonks Adventure in the wild but in my twelve years of collecting neither my brother or myself have ever found these. Oh yeah, my dad recently found me Maxi 15 Complete at a flea market for $35, which is a pretty good deal. My dad doesn't know a thing about games but does look around and calls if he sees some. It made his day, that he found a rare game in the wild. It is easy to find on ebay but I myself haven't ever found maxi 15 in the wild, so I was glad about that one.
This is the second (or third?) time I've heard somebody comment on finding one of those Quickshot Joysticks recently. These things are terrible, guys; leave 'em where you found 'em, haha!
Which quickshot joystick, exactly? The Quickshot arcade stick (Advantage clone) works great, same with the flight stick that uses microswitches.... although it is loud as hell.
I'm thinking of the "flight stick". I just can't see any reason to use it over a normal controller, other than novelty. Eh, who am I to talk... I buy controllers based on novelty all the time. Carry on, lads!
Well, I'll agree that the quickshot joystick that doesn't use microswitches is a POS. I've never yet found one that worked out of the 5 or 6 that have come through my hands.
It's not Nintendo, but I scored some Sega stuff for $9 from a local thrift store. A model 2 Genesis and Sega CD plus a lot of sports games, boxed Animaniacs and, best of all, what appears to be a developer CD with the final US build of Sonic CD on it. It's even marked in the same style of previous builds that have been discovered, Sonic 10 12 for this one. Too bad it's damaged... it plays, but the intro movie and a couple songs crap out at certain points, but I can put in the retail release to make it continue playing. It's definitely interesting, to me anyways.
edit: I had the numbers switched, it's 10 12 written on the disc.

/end sega cd nerd
Congrats on the Famiadapter!
As for the sonic disc, the data layer itself is scratched up, missing the silver surface. I thought there would be more problems for what damage it has, but the only thing close to game breaking is a potential hang in traveling to Stardust Speedway's past, where it hangs on occasion loading the music (which is damaged). Overall, it's a cool find.
Picked up some decent stuff today, payed a whole $5 for all this at Play N' Trade, traded in some extra Genesis controllers and 2 Super Mario 3's for the $32 in credit. The Gameboy and Game Gear games were about $2.50-$3 each, Mortal Kombat and Toy Story CIB for SNES $4.50 each, Balloon fight for $3, AD&D CIB GBA $4, and the Watermelon N64 controller with frayed cord for free.
