  • Ah so you got it finally! Pirate games with those types of cartridges are often found in Poland, produced by BIC (BIC released many Codemasters games in Poland)
  • Wife and I were in CT today and stopped at a tag sale. Grabbed some loose carts for 12 total. Not sure amazing but arts were just dirty, most labels in great shape. Got Mario Bros (arcade one), tmnt 2,Dr Mario and lolo1. Will supplement my secondary loose collection since I have most of these CIB already . Little tlc and they'll be great: )7

    for $15
Working Snes console only (missing the cap for ext. port and the cords)

Snes controller (tear at cord, but works)

2x N64 controller (one has a rumble pak the other has a memory card)

Bust-a-Move Arcade 2 playstation long box

  • Cool stuff, but how much did you pay? BTW, Bust-a-move 2 is awesome!
  • ^^^woops I forgot to add the price, I paid $15 for all of it. its a good find, but kind of disappointing. I asked the seller if he has any snes games (logical jump seeing that he has the console), but he said someone earlier bought it all up.

Bust-a-move 2 is awesome, bought purely on nostalgia value (first playstation game I ever rented)

  • I thought I had an awesome find, but it turned out I was just dreaming. In my dream I went to some obscure little shop ran by an old man, and I get there, I don't see stuff for NES but I see a bunch of Atari 2600 carts. I look at the carts and right on top is a Halloween cart complete with this sheet of paper that was like an order form for the game. So I took it to the counter and then I was like I'll take this, and he was like, all right that'll be one dollar. So long story short, in my dream I bought a Halloween (Wizard games) for the 2600 and it seemed so real, until I opened my eyes and was like "damn".

Now I think I know why I had that dream; I went on uncletusk's website right before I went to bed, and he had boxes for Halloween and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I normally don't dream of Atari stuff, only NES. But I've always been intrigued of those Wizard games.

    * oh yeah, I'd also like to add that as I was walking home in my dream, I was thinking about making a thread on NintendoAge to show off my Halloween cart find.  That's exactly what I would've done in real life. haha
  • I thought I found something today...but I think I broke even.

There was a listing for SNES, 3 controllers, and 20+ games. I called them up and they mentioned Super Mario Allstars, Donkey Kong, and the rest sports games. I thought he only would only have 20 games; so I thought <$2 games plus $15 for snes would be worth a shot. I offered $50, at first he said no then he called me right back and said yes.

All in all I was initially happy...but the games have this weird smell. Its part tobacco and something else (enough so that its causing a slight headache). The carts were in pretty bad shape, but I think I could restore it to a degree. How do I get rid of this funky smell?

    So today's find

Snes, hookups, 3 controllers (one of them looks exactly like the official one but the back cover says super famicom and made in china)

Super Mario Allstar & Super Mario Wolrd

    Super Mario World

    Donkey Kong Country

    Dr. Mario/Tetris

    and 25 misc games

    $50

If I can get rid of the smell then im happy, if not then I over paid.
**edit** I think the smell come from meth...how do I remove this smell?  I don't want my house to smell like burnt rubber.
  • today was a good day, got my conker's t-shirt, and my sears 2 system,
  • My pals from my local gamestop had this waiting for me on Sunday.

  • Scored a CIB Dragon Fighter for $4.85 at a used game store. Has a rental sticker and a barcode sticker though, and my cousin doesn't own a hair dryer.
  • Stopped by a pawn shop in Rockwood yesterday and got a top loader w/ dogbone and 5 snes games CIB for $50.  They originally wanted $20 for the games and $70 for the top loader so I was happy with what I paid.
  • I got another gun for my video game buys off of Craigslist. It's a .25 Raven that I won in a local auction, it's about as big as my palm and it fits nicely in my back pocket.
  • Whoa, wait... are you serious? Next question, do you have a concealed weapons permit?
  • 8 super nintendo, 3 turbo grafix games, and a partridge in a pear, wait a minute, no, ha ha 2 more genny games.

Yeah, I mean I don't know the guy at all, but I feel like if I had to illegally carry a gun to buy games, that might spoil the fun a little bit.
  • ^^^you don't carry one?

I do in fact have a concealed weapons permit, but I need to get one for Oregon since most of my buys are in Portland and in the surrounding areas.  I know that muggings/robberies are few and far between when you're dealing with Nintendo games, but it's not unheard of.  If I'm going to meet some complete stranger in SE Portland with $400 for some Wii stuff, I'm going to want to have some sort of protection; I have to look out for #1.

Butt Meat rolls deep, so deep put yo ass to sleep.  Balllleeeeeeee dat.
