Black Crystal Mines cart, flawless condition. 7.99+tax local game store. Same game store, Micro Machines attached with an Aladdin Deck Enhancer 3.99+tax.
Bought a CIB X-box for $15 at the local Salvation Army. System has minor scuffs and part of the styro is broken, but otherwise looks good. I don't really collect for newer systems so I'll probably sell it at some point and make my money back.
I got Indy jones ubisoft for 8$ shipped. Had a sticker on the front label but successfully got it off with no damage. Glad to help my homie Juggalow almost finish his nes collection!!
Parasite Eve - $1 (complete w/out the demo disc) - some of you might have noticed my thread asking for a disc 2 for $7 which I did end up getting in the mail today. And then I find this......... Irony at its finest.
Fear Effect 1 + 2, Both Complete sans manual for 1 - $1 Each
Resident Evil 2 Original Release - $1
Phantasy Star II - Cart Only $2
For those prices, can't complain. Everything was in at least very good shape.
I got nearly a full run of the first 50 issues of Nintendo Power for $26. I saw it poorly listed on eBay with 2 minutes left, took a peek and realized the guy only lived 20 minutes from me so I wouldn't have to pay the $25 shipping so I snagged it. Not the greatest condition but a great reading lot with virtually all of the posters intact.
Hit the flea markets today. Resellers. Went to one store with a buy-2-get-1-free deal. The Krion Conquest (CIB, boy has a slight tear on lower left corner of the front. Has a photocopy manual )
Kid Niki: Radical Ninja
Battleship (free!)
Total cost: $12
Went to another one, standard yet awesome seller that considers me their number one customer.
Xexyz: $2.85
Just for shits and giggles, hit another store that I don't really like yet somehow appreciates me.
Remembered another sweet deal from the local game store. 52 in 1 and a 64 in 1 cart, 6.99 and 4.99. Also found a maxi 15 cart no label for 4.99 and Faria in a Gyromite cart for 2.99
Picked up a few things on Friday at a place I check regularly.
Everything above was $5 each. All psx games are CIB. TMNT is the PAL B version. The GBA games are Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga and Pokemon and Wolfenstein 3D for SNES. The Nomad works, but I need to re-solder where the power supply plugs in. I also got (not pictured) SNES Mario Kart and Yoshi's Island. Also $5 each.
Then I went to Goodwill and picked up the Pokemon N64 for $7.99 (with a power supply). Looks like it will clean up nice. It has some masking tape residue above the price tag. I needed some controllers so I went to a used game store and picked up a yellow and a blue that match nicely for $7 each, which I thought was fair. Now If I can just find a gold one for the same price!
Got all of this stuff on the weekend, just now managing to get pictures/etc of it all. Best weekend for me in a long time, probably my best weekend ever to be honest. In order from worst to best:
These were actually at two different sales, I just combined the pictures. The SNES/Allstars I got at a sale for $2 It came with all the hookups + 2 controllers, just forgot to put them in the pics. Sorry. The N64 VRU and Stadium 2 were $3. So that's a total of $5 for both, killer.
Here was what I thought was my last find of the day. Got all this at a garage sale for only $6. I've been looking into getting a saturn, glad I held off. There are 2 saturn controllers and 1 genesis controller. It's in very nice condition with hardly any knicks or scratches.
And just when I thought my day couldn't get any better... This comes along. A lady calls me and says she has some stuff she wants to get rid of for free because she was tired of seeing it everytime she walked into the garage. Her kids are in their 20's and still play video games, but they don't care for the old stuff anymore, since they play PS3.
I'm thinking OK, she probably has a NES with a couple of mario games or something, if it doesn't work I can use it for parts or experiment with making a custom NES. She told me it was in a Jack Daniels box in the garage, and to just come and pick it up. I peeked it the box before grabbing it and I was completely shocked...
Hell yeah! FF Chronicles, Dragon Warrior VII, Parasite Eve, and Ogre Battle all CIB (except for Ogre Battle which is missing the manual, and PE which is missing the bonus disk) but I could care less, I honestly couldnt believe it. Disgaea is missing the disc but in great shape otherwise (anyone need it?). FFIII is also in great condition, with only a few cosmetic issues.
The SNES was very dirty, but it cleaned up quite nicely. Unfortunately one of the rubber feet on the bottom had melted (I assume from sitting in the garage) and dripped all the way down the side of the SNES where the grooves are It was a complete pain in the ass to clean, but I should still be able to sell it. I'm also very happy about the ASCIIPad, it's in great condition and all the buttons work flawlessly.
I admit I had to laugh at the random assortment of things. A gamecube with no games, PS1 games but no system, PS2 games but no system (but one PS2 controller, which I think got cut out of the picture). It was quite the find though, very very happy with it.
This was easily the best $11 I have ever spent in my life
