USB Copy NES Windows 64 ?

Just installed my USB Copy NES. NES Boots fine. I was wondering if anyone had any luck running it on Windows 7 64? I have an XP laptop I can use, but I would love to be able to run it on 64bit Windows OS. It shows as happy in device manager (USB Serial Converter A, USB Serial Converter B). When I open USB CopyNES.exe program is giving me errors telling me the NES is off.  I am assuming it is not 64 bit compatiable? Anybody have it working on Windows 64?

  • There were a few recent client updates, see if this one works: http://www.qmtpro.com/~nes/copynes/
  • I tried copynesw_30 it gives me an error unable to open mappers.dat plugin list and crashes. I am actually getting the same errors on an xp laptop as well. Am I missing something? The fact that the nes works, and the driver is showing up would mean it is installed correct I presume?
  • I actually copied the mappers.dat from the old version and the copynesw_30 program opens with out error on Windows 7 64 and XP 32 but most of the options are greyed out?
  • I think I figured it out. I change the option to usb and it seems better (Windows 7 64). I am going to play around with it thanks.
  • mine gives a whole bunch of errors but if I click through them it seems to backup rom and sram and write Sram fine.
  • Can anyone recommend a tutorial for determining mappers or do you just open the cart and see what the board says?
  • Yes, It is giving me errors saying the NES is off but I click through them & it does work thanks
  • Also ulasamosa sent me this link to the mappers.

but basically I just opened each cart & looked at the model # of the board, and selected it from the list and it worked.
