I don't think you'll find anyone selling at that price really, these have gone through the roof recently.... I'm kicking myself for only buying two ;-)

Hey! Off subject, and sorry to post in a thread AFTER i had just found what I was looking for, but arent YOU the guy who discovered this N64 cart variant? Your name rings a bell
wow, where did someone even found 25 copies at once?
Well the story behind this cart is that a few people have gotten some years ago by calling Acclaim for replacements, but lately one guy had recieved a box with 120 copies of the game (idk how the f*ck) all sealed from Nintendo. He sold them at 12.99$ a pop, and all fair collectors bought one or two copies to leave some for more people, but some people bought stashes of like 25 copies, obviously to resell them at absurd prices...
I do think that what makes this cartridge variant especially cool is that it's not just a different color, the actual GAME is fixed!

Nah there's definitely more, but nobody really noticed them until this 120-copy batch showed up last febuary. Someone theorized that since that box came straight from Nintendo, and it was sealed (thus they never needed them i guess), Acclaim probably had their own box of 120 cartridges to send to customers who'd called in to trade-in copies.
If that's the case, nobody knows if all 120 copies were even traded for... Maybe only like 60 people did it and they ended up trashing the remains, who knows
i say there is at least 240 carts minimum since they pop up in the wild, I have 2, one from the 120 and a 2nd from the wild.
Definitely hanging onto mine :-) (which won't arrive for a while but im patient!)
I also ordered the Black cart, this will make an interesting piece for my upcoming show I'll be sure to post it on NA :-) (First few eps already planned out and not about rage wars tho)

My theory (mentioned in a previous thread) is that the guy that did the firesale of the 120 had two boxes. He sold one box off to create the hype and he's going to sell off the second box very slowly and squeeze profit.

Yeah very well could be! So far it's been different sellers though (maybe people who bought doubles off the original auction, or fake accounts). Either way, that 120 box he recieved is def not the only one ever!
