Plastic bags to cover NES and SNES games?

So. I am looking for plastic bags for my NES and SNES games, just like in this picture: image

What kind of bags are these and where can one find these that seems to be very fitted for a NES game, and even the manual?!

As for the SNES, I am looking for a similar plastic bag to cover the games itself.

Any ideas where to find these kind of plastic bags?

Has a wide selection of "better than plastic baggy" grade protectors.

    Hope this helps!
  • Why would you want those bags? the cart protectors are way better..
  • And what do I use for the manual..?
  • Game protectors are the best overall, but in my case my house is under a big influence of the marine layer/sea fog during the mornings that can affect copper connectors of old games; dust is another unwelcome guest. These two preservation enemies can leak through game protectors, so I keep all my games inside polyethylene bags. Also I have a smoking habit and the bags keep the smoke away way better and they can be replaced anytime.

IMHO a combination of both is the end of the day winner
  • For my NES manuals I use 4 1/2 x 6 1/4, 4 mil, POLYETHYLENE

They fit well for standard size NES manuals.

For larger NES manuals like Dragon Warrior Explorer Handbook or oddly shaped manuals like Mig 29 Soviet Fighter, I use 5 1/8 x 7 13/16, 2 mil, Polypropylene

I don't like the thinner 2 mil but I can't find one the right size for thicker. This size works for N64, SNES and the like.

I've tried using 5 3/8 x 7 1/4, 4 mil, Polyester (Mylar) but it is too stiff. Even though it's 4 mil like the first one I said, it feels way thicker. When I put normal manuals inside the sleeve, the sleeve would eventually come apart at the seams. It's not designed to hold a manual with several pages. It's more designed for a single card or paper. So I won't use this anymore unless I just need a single sheet really well protected. This is also expensive.

  • VERY useful posts there, Dwight and zzz! HIGHLY appreciated!

Dwight, that first polyethylene-cover looks brilliant! ANY idea if they ship internationally, seeing that I live in Norway....

ZZZ, excellent! That looks great too! I've got some nice N64 games as well, so that'd be great!

Apparently they cannot ship abroad, so now the question is if anyone would be willing to help me out with this..? I'd pay the costs, of course.
  • there in china and they had no issues shipping to the united states dont see why norway would be a issue

  • I've always used GLAD fold top sandwich bags for NES carts. They're a perfect fit. They also work well for SNES and N64, just not as nice of a fit. They're polyethylene, so they're safe for long term storage, and they're also cheap.

the owner have sleeves not just for the manual, also for the nintendo inserts ads, and also a bag for the cart (I don't know if bags for carts are the original or a replacement).

2016 now, any place to buy all that sleeves?
