  • I don't know if it's still the case, but getting replacement pins was pretty cheap on ebay. Taking apart the NES to get to them is pretty self-explanatory. Also, you might want to consider disabling the lockout chip. I did this on mine, and it gets rid of the blinking permanently. There are video guides for doing both projects on youtube. Just do a search for them.

  • Yep. Disable the Lockout chip.
  • i m gonna clean it with the "boiling" trick, i was just asking some of the vets if they had any other tricks to make it easier to clean

thanks for the response though mang, appreciate it greatly
  • isn't the blinking just the lockout chip 99% of the time? Just clip the chip
  • Cut pin 4 on the lockout chip, no more blinkies: http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/nintendo/nes-lockout.htm

I do that to all NES' I sell. When you boil the pin connector take a toothbrush and scrub it really well half way through. I don't bake them, just make sure they dry thoroughly. Bend the lower set of pins up where the carts slide in and your good.
  • boil your pin and/or replace it and snip the lockout

and chalice or not, I still dont trust you....

    :-P
  • If it's tight just wash the connector with a toothbrush in the sink, and clean your games. Clip pin 4 on your lockout too, like said above. Then replace the LED with blue/green and you have an amazing modded NES.
  • Cook dat sh*t ! This or as others have said, clipping the lockout chip might work.
