  • shoot i remember those when they were brand new, never got one, but they were pricey i remember.

brad could watch boob movies with half the door shut so mom couldn't see ha ha ha j/k
  • Hey, thats an idea!!!!
  • Whoa! Excellent find! I *love* my GxTV. 15 years and still ticking.
  • Haha wow, 99 cents for a TV? That's awesome! Nice pickups!
  • Holy crap, I wonder if that's all Goodwills? The ones here usually sell big CRTs for $30 or $40 so that's a hell of a deal. I'm gonna have to check around. Thanks for the heads up if it is in effect for all the stores!
  • I got one at GW a few months back for 4.99, great little set when I worked at Funcoland we used to use one for testing systems on trade -ins.

  • god those were such a ripoff brand new. CAnt remember if they were $199 or $299 but either way it was a huge rip for a 13/15 inch (cant remember the size) tv. For a dollar tho....Id buy that all day! :-P
  • What Goodwill are you going to man? What part of Wisconsin are you from? Those are awesome finds.

The allure of the GxTV is the sound that it generates. The screen is small (meant to be a personal TV), but the sub-woofer and two swinging satellite speakers supply some pretty impressive sound. Further, the "Mono" sound setting for my NES outputs sound in both left & right channels, which is a nice touch.

  • Nice find. Thats a pretty cool TV.
  • Any TV that works for 99 cents is an amazing deal. I'd buy 100 and make a giant wall of TVs, like Morgan Freeman in Dark Knight.
  • Yep, we have that promotion in SE Wisconsin Goodwill stores!
  • That promotion doesnt exist in Atlanta...

This TV (and the Sharp NES) is the only reason I even look at the tv wall at any thrift store. Been keeping my eye out for them for a while now. One day though, my Sharp NES needs a friend, lol.

I keep expecting to one day find another Vectrex in the TV section as well. You never know

  • That's awesome. Nice pickup.
  • One of these happened to walk in to Video Game Heaven where I work and I was lucky enough to be there to buy it. The sound on this tv just blew me away. I tested a Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo on it and I was sold instantly. Had to have it. I highly recommend these tvs.
