it sounds like Kevtris doesnt want to release the mod, and that they want to be the only ones selling HDMI NES consoles. am i correct on this?
I was starting to wonder the same thing last week and asked about whether kits would still be available. Per Jason (GameTech-US):
"I'm not sure how this info is getting contorted so badly as it's not changed much since the first announcement vid.
First 100 kits were installed by me and 10 other modders, so we could keep a close eye on them and see what needed changed etc.
Then we'll order 200 kits and sell them to anyone who wants one, but only one per person to keep it more fair and get more kits to more ppl.
They will only be sold through my site, game-tech.us, unless I just can't keep up with sales, but that doesn't seem likely...
Then we'll order like 500 kits and then there will be no limit to the number you can buy at a time.
The 10+ modders are just ppl I trust to do good install work for ppl that can't do it themselves. All modders are welcome to do installs for customers though.
And no there is no ETA, when there is one i'll announce it... sorry!"
bunnyboy, with the extra sprites in TMNT, it will look amazing when I still can't beat it! These videos look great. Any more obscure Nintendo peripherals you can wow us with? Can I knit with power on the AVS?!

Extra Sprites? I wasn't aware the AVS could eliminate flicker. If you try and improve the hardware by removing certain limitations, it may break games that depend on them. Overclocking would be a fun feature to fool around with the "advanced" setting in the AVS menu, and won't cost much in terms of extra logic, hint, hint!

I'll play these for tomorrow's Powerball. If I win, I'll give you $10k for the lowest # serial and whatever dupes you have from RetroUSB!
Sexy. Madara carts are cheap too.
Gotta love that Japan isn't in the retro craze right now! Keeps prices way down

No idea, I am not involved in that one in any way!

It is looking like late May for production AVS consoles to arrive here...
My wallet/body is Reggie...
Don't know yet, will depend what I can pull together in time. It might have paper cutout IOUs for things like gamepads
HA that would be awesome like the Star Wars early bird package where they mailed you the figures later.
Are there going to be adequate supply or is it one run and after it sells ramp up and do another manufacturing round?
