Is the scoreboard gonna be ready to go when these come out?
Most of it works, but there is still work to do on the app (like porting mac version) and some PAL/NTSC stuff on the NA end. All parts inside the console are done so its just continual refinement. There are around 250 games in there now and I don't expect many more besides adding homebrews.

HA that would be awesome like the Star Wars early bird package where they mailed you the figures later.
Just read about that, so funny!

I still believe there will be enough for everyone to get it at normal price from the beginning, no scalpers/resellers needed. I am getting a 9' cube in the first shipment If they are disappearing far faster than expected I would immediately start the next batch which would take 3-4 months.
Not yet sure how to sell the LLE. I don't want to manage an auction with 90 items but also don't want people complaining if they disappear too fast.
Been following this project for a while now, pretty excited to see it is right around the corner. I do have one question I have not seen a clear answer anywhere (maybe I overlooked it), does the avs work with the famicom disk system? The module going to fit in the cart area allowed?

Just reserve them for NA members who have been on the site for longer than like 2 years.
Haha. I see you will have just made the cut
If there's just 90, maybe reserve them for members who have been here since 2007. Then 2008. That should take care of them all. If that method is taken, that is. I don't think it should be.
How about a raffle! Everyone who wants one posts in a thread. Put em all into one of those RNG sites and ka-boom!
Are standard editions going to be immediately available, or will the focus initially be on the LLE? I wouldn't mind trying to get my hands on one of the LLE's, but I honestly don't care for the look of the clear console and would rather just have an opaque one to play with. I've been following the talk and development of this for a while before I finally joined NA and am super stoked that the release is finally in sight!

I'd support a raffle tbh, although i think it should be only for NA members, and possibly not new one's just signing up to get one to try and flip later.

Nine foot cube, LOL! You could build a giant fortress for the kids with that many boxes...
Brian, do you plan on offering these for sale on eBay/Amazon in addition to RetroUSB.com? Even if you have to sell at $225 instead of $200 to cover Paypal + eBay or Amazon Marketplace fees, it will prevent scalpers from hocking them at $400 a pop to uninformed shoppers who don't realise that items exist for sale cheaper outside of eBay / Amazon.
There was an issue at one time with scalpers flipping loose cart AtariAge homebrew on eBay, listing them as "rare and discontinued" selling for $60-$70 bucks a piece. These normally sold for $30 on AtariAge and were still available, so the site owner Albert listed a few of his most popular titles on eBay for $5 upcharge, and the resellers disappeared almost overnight.
Just a thought. If you limit yourself to only RetroUSB, due to supply and demand, resellers will fill the void in other avenues and some customers will get ripped off.

That's a good reason for him to have this own storefront yeah, don't want potential customers getting taken advantage of.
Gonna be an awesome summer. I hope everyone here on NA gets a chance at one before they sell out. Why not just do a pre-order thread on NA before opening orders up on RetroUsb?
Question: will the clear console only be available as the limited edition? Sorry if that's already been established.
Regardless, glad to hear such progress! Been excited about this console since I first heard about it. Thanks for all your hard work, bunnyboy. You're a wizard.
I was just browsing online and came across the youtube video for this. Man this looks great. I kind of looked through the thread but didn't see a estimated price. Do you have any idea what it will list for yet OP?
Have to say I really dig the physical look of the system, it's an excellent throwback to the original design while standing out in its own way. Looks good.

Unofficially, just from what I've seen in the thread, expect $200 or so.
Heard about the AVS a few weeks ago and I'm very excited about it. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these.
One of the most interesting features in my eyes is the NA scoreboard. First i thought that NA stands for North America and I was worried it wouldn't work here in Europe. But after I saw this ( http://beta.nintendoage.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=Scoreboard.Home ) I think it's beacuse of the connection to Nintendo Age.
But I'm still wondering if it's possible to use the European Plug-Thu-games from Codemasters oder the Aladdin Deck Enhancer games with the AVS.

Yeah, I didn't think I'd use that feature, but the more I think about it, the more in intrigues me.

Of course it does! The size of the RAM adapter is part of why the door is so big. Also works great with loopy's FDSStick from http://3dscapture.com/fdsstick so you don't need the physical disks.
That system looks amazing, I've been trying to stay out of this thread since the original post but the temptation was to much. So this system seems really tempting to get, but I'm wondering if there's anymore info about the scoreboard. Without reading through 117 does anyone have a brief explanation as to how that will work?

Same here. Just want a standard AVS.

I'd still like to get my hands on a Retrovision, though...
