Finds of 2013: A miracle

So I don't normally make these kinds of threads but decided now would be the time since I found a few interesting things.   First thing I found was a N64+Controller+Memory Card/Rumbe for $12.  It does have a piece of plastic missing from the case and also there was no "jumper pak" installed.  I had to buy the expansion pak memory upgrade to get it to work so that ran another $20, and was by far the most expensive part.  I didn't previously own one so I figured I might as well pick it up.  All in all, I spend $32 for a N64 and all the crap it needs.  Not too bad.

The next find, and this one is a bit more interesting, was a Miracle Piano for $15.  Now this is something I wasn't even looking for and never would have expected to see in the wild, but there it was. I know it isn't worth a ton but it seems crazy to find one of these just sitting amongst a bunch of junk.  The craziest part about this story is that just ONE DAY before I found this I also found the SNES Miracle Piano cart (picked it up for $40, which is basically market value).  I had no inteion of ever playing that cart or the NES one (which I've had for about 6 months) but now I feel compelled to play them.

Only issue is that the piano is absolutely bare-bones, so I need to find the AC adapter or a replacement.  I've already looked up schematics for the controller cables and those should be pretty cheap to make, I plan on using an NES/SNES extension cords.  Now if only I could find that elusive foot pedal.  Maybe some other day!

  • Nice, the one I found in Lynnwood GW had all of the cords (nes and genesis and PC, no SNES) with the footpad.
  • This brings a tear to my eye. I've been on the lookout for a Miracle piano for quite a while now. Any day you encounter the Miracle Piano accessory is a good day. Nicely done!

That's awesome, wish mine came with all that stuff.  The foot pedal is the most elusive part it would seem, any chance you'd want to trade it or sell it

  • Why can't I find a Miracle Piano at Goodwill????
  • Another trip to goodwill yielded a Gamecube with cables, memory card and controller for $5. Also I found a Retron 3 for $1 and MK Trilogy on PS1 for $2.
