Damn happy

I'm new here as you can tell, so Hi everyone! recently (~8 months ago) started collecting. Im a 90's gamer, grew up with NES and SNES.

That being said, I made a really great score from a friend who is not a gamer. I clued him in to the value of these games, and told him I was interested, but for a fraction of the price. They were gifted to him by his aunt last year. Long story short, I've done alot for him so he gave me a great deal.

Damn happy to have them back in my collection!

  • Damn good deal! I'd be damn happy too if one of my damn friends game me that much of a damnably good deal on two of the finest damn SNES RPGs ever made! Damn it (Jack Bauer impersonation)!
  • lol how do i respond this nintengoage guy is in the way of the reply button
  • Blah neverming my last post offset the page so now I can click it.

yes I am ecstatic! I thanked him so much! sorry for this immediate post, I don't normally do this.
  • ^You can remove the Nintendoage guy in your settings.

Nice pick up BTW. That's a great deal. I've had a few friends give me their old stuff because they they know I collect.
  • Thank you thank you thank you! That NA guy has been the bane of my guest existence!

I know what you mean about friends giving stuff. A buddy of mine came thru town with a trunk full of stuff. I snagged Goldeneye 64, Starfox 64, Diddy Kong Racing, a few 64 controlloers, Crystalis, and Zombies Ate My Neighbors Snes, for free! But I felt to bad to grab the box full of ~60 nes games. I told him he should play them because they are meant for that, and we did that way back when, etc.

Now I know they are sitting in his basement collecting dust, but I still couldn't just TAKE them. LOL
  • Haha yeah that NA guy drives a lot of people crazy, but I guess some people like his presence.

I know what you mean about feeling guilty for taking your friends stuff. I had a friend give me his boxed snes RPGs he had as a kid - Ogre battle, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 2, and 3. I never paid him, but I was sure to pick up his bar tab a few times.
  • HAHA yep. My buddy quit his job and hopped out east for a month, came back and I let him stay at my place free of charge for 3 months. Safe to say the games are well payed for, not that I'd have it any other way. A great friend
  • Friends are awesome! My friend gave me about 20 of his N64 games, some including Harvest Moon, Mario Kart, Super Mario 64, Kirby, and others. It's great when you have friends that know you collect and want to surprise you! He gave em to me for my birthday, one of the best presents I've ever gotten I must say!
  • I just finished Final Fantasy II last night after not having played it for 15+ years. I'm going to start Final Fantasy III today. I've never played through it and have managed to avoid spoilers all these years.
