Could this area be claimed as ravaged, since he will buy all things worth any value to resell?
I think it would take more than one reseller to ruin a place for others. I mean, he can be there all the time.
There are a few people around the Chattanooga area who might surprise you... I swear some of these assholes clone themselves. One for each thrift store and one to sell copies of Super Mario World for $40 at the flea market.
I was at a place like that today. It seemed every game he had was marked at 2.5x what they go for on Ebay. Which was a shame cause he had some nice stuff.
"I resell that stuff so that I can replenish my funds and go out and get more things I need. It's a way of self-sustaining my habit. If you have a problem with that I'm sorry"
So your a closet collector who doesn't know the price of Legend of Zelda or Adventures of Link?
A closet collector??? Whatever that means, no I am not. I was having trouble pricing the grey carts a while ago because I'd never found them before and I didnt have the right verbage for ebay. You seem pretty pissed off at me, man. What, exactly, have I done to you to get you angry? Find some good stuff in a city you'd never go to? Post about it here? Did I piss you off in person before? Or is this just jealousy that someone found stuff in your general area?
Edit: And I'd still love to know what that 'glory hole' comment you made was all about. It didn't even make sense and it kinda seemed like you were really stretching to try to be grumpy.
Wow, PokeBox at Salvation Army? Wonderful find, does it have the 2-colored memory card and/or inserts? Thats worth a nice chunk there...
No. Unfortunately it just came in the box with the instructions. But hey, for 3 bucks you can't beat it. I'm sure it's still worth a nice little chunk.
"I finally found a market around where I am that seems to not be completely ravaged by resellers"
YOUR A RESELLER!
I resell things I don't need or don't want.
The things I collect are never seen here.
I resell that stuff so that I can replenish my funds and go out and get more things I need. It's a way of self-sustaining my habit. If you have a problem with that I'm sorry.
Haha you should make that clear... I was only sad looking at your topics because I assumed every single thing you found went up for sale and you didn't collect at all.
I don't mind reselling to fund a collection, I'm pretty sure we all do that.
Would love to see pics of your collection. Is that it in your avatar? The glory hole was in response to someone else.
The picture in my Avatar is from a pawn shop I used to work at here in Gainesville. They have a really nice collection of games. I helped them with it. Then I decided to persue ventures on my own. I left on good terms and those guys are still my friends. Is that what you'r referring to?
The reason that is my avatar is because:
1. I am really proud I could help them build such a good collection of games.
2. I really have nothing cooler to replace it with.
Still wondering what's got you so mad.
As for pictures of my collection: I wish. Eveyrthing is in plastic rubbermaid containers and is either crammed into my tiny efficiency apartment or at a secure undisclosed location which can only be revealed if you have top secret governement clearance (storage unit).
If you sell that pokemon box I'm in the market for one. My deal for one on 45 bucks ended with the guy never responding after setting everything up. Probably got backslides or he went to eBay. But I can always look for a new one! Great finds, and great find in the store itself
