I finally found it.

Finally found this after looking on ebay for forever. I tried searching in descriptions and found it in a lot and got it for cheap. Then I found out there were a couple on amazon... lol at least i got a good deal on this one. Fun game too.

A couple months haha.
I'm still on the hunt for Shantae in the wild, one of my personal holy grails. I've dug through so many big baskets filled with game boy games it's not even funny anymore. I don't even actually really collect for GB/GBC, I just really want this game.

Super fun game, isn't it around $80 or so when one pops up for sale on it's own?

There are a few on amazon for $30.
And I know! finding shantae in the wild would be awesome

Ah, huh. Might be thinking about a different game or maybe people on eBay just had crazy unrealistic prices.
And yeah, I normally don't really go on dumb crusades actively trying to find specific rare games in the wild, I just let them come to me if it's meant to be. With Shantae though, I know around the time the GBA came out I saw new copies of it all over the place in various stores so for that specific game it just feels like there's just gotta be one floating around out here somewhere lol.

If it's any consolation, Shantae does turn up at McKay's, albeit rarely. The reason I left the basket quote in there...I found one in the basket at the Chattanooga McKay's once...gave $3.95 for it.
On topic... Avenging Spirit...nice pickup .

Yeah, I check the basket every single time. Also check the ones they stick in the plastic cases (Why the hell do they arrange those like they do? It's an incredible pain to search through them, one of my only peeves with the store)
Also on another note, while I have you here in this topic, 2 unrelated questions:
1. How often do you drop by McKays and/or other spots in Chattanooga? Curious if you're constant competition or not
2. You wouldn't happen to be the guy who bought that Paper Mario box and manual, the N64 Toys R Us tote, a Goemon's Great Adventure manual, and some other goodies off me on Craigslist would you? I dunno why, I just have a hunch.
Btw, nice pickup!

Couple months eh, now if it was like before October I could have grabbed it, and it's probably gone now since that place went to hell after I left town. Avenging Spirit I believe also has been recreated on the iOS format...goes for a couple of bucks and hits free status every so often.
yeah its also on virtual console

I'm in there sporadically...sometimes I'll drop in 3 times a week, other times it may be 2 months in between visits. And I am not the one who bought those things from you via Craigslist. If I'd seen those, I'd probably have tried to contact you though.

Yeah I bundled a bunch of good paper and some games (OoT, several NES commons, nothing great) inside a big vinyl N64 tote bag from Toys R Us for $80 because I needed some quick cash, whoever did pick it up got a pretty great deal. Kinda hope it wasn't someone from Packard, they'd have priced it all so high it'd be destined to rot on their shelves for eternity (plus they closed, no clue where their stock wound up)
